Haha so Ben takes responsibility for the loss,

We got the ball down 7 with 14:45 to go in the 4th quarter after the blocked punt. We started that drive on their 48. We ran the ball with Bell for 6, again for 3, again for no gain. Then went for it 4th and 1 on their 39 and had the incompletion to JuJu. And yes, we let the prolific Jags offense kill us for three quarters. They never crossed mid field in the third quarter.

Yep then after that they let Jax go 60+ yards in 5 plays for a TD, including another 3rd and long conversion

I am one of the first people to call out Ben when he play like ***, he wasn't the reason they lost today.

The D spotted the Jags 21 points, Ben can take responsibility for 3-4 of them if he wants.
The O then out scored the Jags 42-24 the rest of the game. Ben responsible for 6 of the points by the jags.
Ben gives up 9, 12 at best, the D gives up 33-36, if they just play average, they win going away.

This was NOT Ben's fault. 37-58, 469 YDS, 5 (6) TD, 1 INT 1 Fumble. That my friends would be a career day by 95% of the players to have EVER played the game. Not even top 5 for Ben

It's exactly as I said...Mike, deer-in-the-headlights, Tomlin wouldn't take any blame for the loss. That's ridiculous to me. Smoke up the butt.

The first play of the second drive when the DL got blown 5 yards off the LOS then Fournette pushed the pile for another 5 yards pretty well summed up the defensive effort today - gutless.

I agree, but it was evident on the opening kickoff. Yards after contact was a stat I haven't heard, but the jags must have an impressive number, we were out played physically day.

In the simplest way possible of looking at this --- our offense scored 42 points against the best defense in the league and our defense essentially gave up 45 against a QB that couldn't hit the ocean from the beach, a team with no WRs that could make our roster and an overall offense that would be charitable to call middling. Pathetic defense and pathetic coaching.

If the offense gets credit for their 42, don't their coaches?

I watched the Tomlin presser with my son, we just looked at each other and laughed. He acted like he thought all of his decisions were spot on and it basically came down to execution. SMDH

A Tomlin hallmark is never to accept any of the blame. I seriously wonder what the players think of this. He has to go and should be fired this week.

Y'all came say defense was bad but look at the times Mikey Sunglasses made a stupid decision on fourth and one that gave the Jaguars excellent field position. Mikey Sunglasses needs to go.

By my count, the defense spotted the Jags 14 points at most. You can't put the fumble return for a TD on the defense. That leaves the opening score for Jax (7 points) and the TD after the interception ... As Coryea has stated numerous times, the D COULD have held Jax to a FG there. So they are responsible for 4 points off the INT ... That's 11 points spotted to Jax by the defense and 10 points spotted by offense. Not 21 by the defense alone. Yep, the defense sucked. No denying that **** storm. But, they aren't responsible for the offense's early showing. Those 21 points that were spotted to Jax early were a true team effort.

Tomlin never accepts responsibility. It's part of his personality.

Look. Obviously it was the defense that killed our chances to win this. But I get what a few people are saying. Ben had a great statistic game, and most of the time it should have been good enough. Instead of saying Ben,which some of us around here seem to take rather personaly, let's say offense as it is a team game. The offense started the game flat. The QB's body language on the first few series ofplays were atrocious,as in no confidence, kind of the same way the offense started the year.

Weather this was the play calling or not I guess is debatable. The 4th and one call was a joke, but I do see the reasoning of going for it as we were down so suddenly. The other 4th and whatever it was when they passed to ju ju defiantly should have been pass interference and was a huge part of the game.....the other one was when Ben should have got that roughing the passer call,as in late hit, that most qb's would have got.

To me,the biggest part of the game was when the defense actually stopped them a couple times in a row, perhaps even 3 when the blocked punt occurred, had great field positions and the offense never did a thing with it. You could feel the momentum switching to the Steelers big time.and the offense did nothing with those opportunities.

The onside kick call, was in retrospect the wrong call. I do have to admit, during the heat of the game,I was yelling to my son.....onside kick. My reasoning was that I was so pissed off at the D not stopping anything I thought they would just run the clock out.

What a gut wrenching season. Some things have to change. How I wanted our team to play The jags......then go in to NE and stomp them on their way to Minni. I do believe that Tomlin,as successful as he has been for us,just will not get us over the hump. But they will not change him. 13-3 is what most non Steelers fan will look at.....and call us crazy for even thinking change. Some guys in here want to blow it all apart. A few cities in the good old NFL would love to have our season, but it sure as **** is not good enough for us. Ryans injury will really hurt us....as we would have had a top lb for another 10 years, now we have to replace. I know I am rambling, but I am a little pissed off still and empty.

The fact that they neither called holding/PI on the 4th down throw to Juju OR roughing when Ben was thrown down told you everything you needed to know about the officiating.
They were utterly on their own.

There was a PI on AB and JuJu that went uncalled.

Also towards the end an uncalled PI when a defender was on top of Bryant. Could've left a lot of time on the clock
