Now obviously I like Myles Garrett, OJ Howard and Jamal Adams and so on. They are obvious first round talents. I am looking second round or later and guys I think would fit our system and would be starters and potentially pro bowl players.

QB-
Jerod Evans QB VT
Probably should have came back for his Senior season but in such a weak draft class I see why he decided to jump. In his ONE season with the Hookies he had 3552 yards, 63.5% completion, 29 Tds to only 8 INT's. Compare that to Mitch Trubisky whom seems to be a consensus first round draft pick. He had 3748 yards, 30 TD to 6 INT and a 68.2% completion percentage but he also plays in a pass happy spread offense. Evans played in a more run oriented offense where he actually lead the team with 846 yards and 12 TD's. Now I think Trubisky in a west coast quick release offense will be fine I feel Evans has more potential. The nice things is the Steelers don't need Evans this year so he can sit and learn for 2-3 years and refine his game like Aaron Rodgers did. I feel he is a Cam Newton kind of QB and can be multifaceted in the offense. He is rated as a 5-6 round pick and if the Steelers got him in the 4th I would be elated.

RB-
Jeremy McNichols Boise St.
McNichols I feel is vastly underrated. McNichols has very good speed, is elusive, and seems to rarely take a direct tackle which allows him to use his superior balance to break out of them to gain more yards. He also is an awesome pass catcher having 88 over the last two seasons. I think ball security is an issue but with 10" hands for a 5-9 back I feel it is something he can be taught. I see him rated as a 4-5 round back and again I would be happy to have him in the 4th.

WR-
Ryan Switzer North Carolina
Dude is mighty mouse at 5-8 180lbs but watching his quick feet and what seems to be very reliable hands I can't help to think Wes Welker 15 years ago. He is more quick and sudden than fast but in short areas he can really make people look silly and his route running is excellent. I don't think he will be a number 1 but as a slot guy he could be very dangerous. Rated as a round 5-6 receiver I see someone taking him and having a reliable slot guy and return man for a decade. I would take him all day in round 5.

Ishmael Zamora Baylor
Ok, so this guy got caught on snapchat abusing his dog. He gets suspended and misses the first 3 games of the year. When he finally comes back he goes between two QB's. Still manages 809 yards and 12 TD's. He's 6-4 220lbs and runs a legit sub 4.5 forty. Now I will admit he's a moron but if he wouldn't have been suspended he likely has a 1,000 + yard season and likely comes back for his Junior season. He most likely left early because of the way the Bears handled him during the suspension process. If he doesn't snapchat himself hitting his dog and has a thousand yard season back to back he's a first round pick EASY in 2018. So late in the draft I am ok with taking him. We have a late 7th round pick which likely doesn't make the team. Why not do some due diligence see what makes this guy tic and if it checks out use it on a guy who might turn into something.

TE-
Bucky Hodges VT
I really don't see much if any difference between Hodges and Njoku and one looks to be a sure fire first round pick and the other a third round. I like Hodges hands, adjustment to the ball, body control, and speed for a big man. If he's there in the third I would run to the podium.

George Kittle Iowa
I am not sure why Kittle is listed as a 5th round prospect. I feel his ceiling might not be as high as others but his floor to me is an everyday starter. He ran a 4.52, 35" vert, 11' broad jump. And watching film has soft hands and is more than willing blocker. He could use another 10lbs but he also looks like he could handle that no problem.

ILB-
Jordan Evans Oklahoma
I keep seeing Evans as a 6th round pick and I don't get it. He ran a 4.51 40 at 6-3 232lbs after compiling 98 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 9.5 TFL, 4 picks with 2 touchdowns, 1 forced fumble and recovery and 8 pass deflections... am I missing something??? He doesn't shed as well as I would like but when it comes to coverage and running he's damn good. In a pass happy NFL he fits.

OLB-
Avery Moss Youngstown St.
Everyone is talking about his teammate Derek Rivers but Moss was the high school dual sport blue chip prospect. Stupid mistake where he apparently showed the snake to a fellow student got him kicked off the Nebraska Cornhuskers squad. He got settled in at youngstown and had 11 sacks and 17.5 TFL last season. He's 6-3 263lbs and I would honestly have him tone up and drop 10lbs to gain quickness. I feel being a basketball player he should pick up the zone pass defense scheme easily enough. And again I say use a late round pick on him. He's listed as an UDFA. Use a 7th or make him a priority after the draft.

DL-
With the signing of Tyson Alualu DL isn't really a need. But I really like Tanoh Kpassagnon and when I see him listed as a 4th round grade I just shake my head. Dud is 6-7 290lbs 35 5/8" arms with 10 5/8" hands. MASSIVE DUDE. He also runs a 4.8 forty with a 30" vert. So he has some athleticism. And you garner the fact he had 11 sacks and 21.5 tfl last year and 22 sacks and 37 TFL in his career he has a resume to boot. I just can't see him lasting that long but if he was around with our comp pick I would run to the podium.

CB-
Damontae Kazee San Diego State
He isn't the biggest or fastest at 5-10 and 184lbs with a 4.54 forty but watching his tape he definitely knows how to play CB. He is smooth with good feet and is very instinctive as a CB. He reads and reacts very quickly and sees the play developing. He actually reminds me of a taller Golson as he is a very good football player with some physical limitations. Unlike Golson Kazee is listed as a 5th or 6th round pick. If he was there in round 5 I would be all for it. He had 7 picks last year and 8 the year before and has 29 career pass deflections.

S-
Josh Harvey-Clemons Louisville
I am not sure if I play this guy at ILB or SS. He is very gifted athletically at 6-5 228lbs and moves very well. I keep hearing Steelers like Obi Melifonwu but this guy is just as gifted and supposed to go in the 6th round.

Switzer would make a great chain mover and pick up some gritty yards on 2nd/3rd down pass situations.

Kazee from SDSU could make a good nickle guy. Similar to William Gay in ways. Very instinctive. The rest of the guys on your list I haven't really seen

most of them would be interesting additions after the 4th round

Always like to hear names that I never heard, thatmight actually get called with the Steelers picks. most of the guys the talking heads mention will be long gone.

Not disagreeing with you on switzer but ELI RODGERS is already on the roster. Would this Switzer be an upgrade over Eli????

Maybe maybe not. I really think Switzer would really pushing Ayers for the roster spot this year. Maybe Ayers and Switzer both make it but that means he'd have to push Hamilton and DHB off the roster and likely Hunter. But I'd love to see a 4 WR set with AB and Bryant out wide with Switzer and Rogers playing inside.

DHB is done imo. Not that we have to reference them about everything, but the *pats have a couple of guys like that, so who says you can only have one on your team? Why can't we keep Ayers, Rodgers, AND Switzer?

We could I'm not married to Hamilton or DHB so if we keep 5 WR's and Bryant doesn't get suspended we could have AB, Bryant, Rogers, Ayers, and Switzer. Just doesn't give us much size at WR after Bryant.

That's part of my concern, midgets can get it done but occasionally you need a big boy.

I agree, I don't see the upgrade over Eli Rogers if we add Switzer. How many do we need of those type of WRs? They are obviously targeting the bigger receivers with their FA acquisitions and prospect meetings. Chris Godwin in the second and we are done adding to the WR position for the next couple years. AB84, Bryant and a combo of Godwin/Rogers. wow, that's potent imo

You could line him at all LB spots and even S and nickel CB to blitz.

ILB Conner Brown Lindwood
RBJames Conner
DTDalvin tomlinson
OLB Hassan Reddick
OLB TJ Watt
DT Jaleel Jhonson , similar to for teamate Carl Davis he can play DT or DE and a huge power clogger who plays with nasty hands him and heyward and Tuitt at the same time would generate a great DL penetration that would collapse the pocket and leed to many coverage sacks.
DE Nazir Jones another big body that would fill the role that useless Cam Thomas was supposed to
QB Brad Kaaya
QB Watson if he falls to mid rnd 2 or to the 3

Like Harvey-Clemmons as a sub package contributor if he's around in the 4-5 range, highly doubt he makes it past that. If he could improve fluidity in change of direction we would finally have a guy that could cover TEs.

If Switzer were to be drafted. He'd have to beat out Rodgers and Ayers imo. Ayers has shown promise in his limited play, and I expect more opportunity in year 2. Rodgers on the other hand reminds me a bit of Jericho Cotchery, always a good "insurance" type check down. I think Switzer would add a different chain moving dynamic. But I'm just playing a what if scenario in my head. The Steelers should be ok at WR if Bryant comes through

That's something people seem to forget and that is BRYANT. Either they totally forget him or write him off as NOT making the pee test(s). I say he is as good as nearly any WR in the 5-12 range in the NFL. Possibly better. I know it all hinges on PEE but I see him peeing cleanly. I realize he needs to "PROVE" it but one can ONLY prove it if given a chance, he will get his chance.

Love Jaleel Johnson, him and Hargrave rotating inside would be great. I think it would take a 2nd rounder to get him, so much talent in that round I wish we had 3 picks lol
