Great Read on AB

Not a Psychiatrist but from the article it appears to me he has had some form of mental illness for quite a while and it wasn't just a CTE issue though that probably exacerbated the situation; the extreme highs followed by extreme lows, irrationality, lashing out at people, etc, etc. No excuses for his narcissistic and self serving "the rules don't apply to me" behavior though. Interesting take on Tomlin's "management" of the situation. His "I'll bend the rules for him as long as the pros outweigh the cons" probably kept Mr Big idiot on the team longer than he would have been otherwise but Tomlin had to know he was just making a bad situation worse in the long run by coddling him.

The guy is just an *******.

He's not the only NFL player to have a rough up bringing and take some blows to the head while playing the game.

It is just a shame that probably the greatest draft pick in Steelers' history, considering round and impact, ended this way.

I do recall reading something way back when AB first decided to go awol in week 17 last last season. Somebody said that Tomlin had been willing to put up with AB's **** as long as he was producing and putting up monster numbers. But when JuJu started racking up some yards and TDs, Tomlin was privately thrilled because he had the leverage he needed to say, "Shut the **** up, AB. The guy LEADING the team in yards was ON TIME to the meeting."

It's possible that it wasn't just Roethlisberger giving AB **** in practice that pushed him over the edge. We already assume JuJu getting the Team MVP pissed him off, but if both Tomlin AND Ben were (in his mind) disrespecting him...

Well, hell. It's on!

Surprised AB didn’t can’t Tomlin racial slurs...

AB likes to put that out there a lot these days.

This is all you need to know about Brown: He was getting paid $16 million per year and wouldn't pay his landscaper for work done.

WORSE YET................. He bought a painting at a charity for kids thing. Paid $700.00 for it and met the artist. He hired her and guess what.......... He snuck up behind her and pounded put while she was working at his house. She was working on the floor level painting of a wall mural. She was the second lady that complained but didn't file a law suit. IT GETS EVEN BETTER he didn't pay her her money for the Muriel at his house but WORSE

He didn't pay the charity, KID CHARITY for the ******* $700.00 painting that they allowed him to take home as he said he'd get them paid, but didn't.

**** HIM AND HIS BS rip off artistry.

A) not paying your landscaper... must be why his lawn looks like ****.

B ) he got a whole lotta money whole lotta money but the cheap *** won’t pay for a charity painting.

I’m
Waiting sooner or later he’s gonna piss off the wrong person in south florida

He made an appearance at Childrens Hospital a few years back, he was supposed to be there at 1. They had all the kids that were going to meet him in the lobby or some room, some kids wheeled out of their rooms in their beds, the ****** didn't show until 4 hours later, alot of the kids had to be taken back to their rooms to be hooked back up to machines. He had no explanation or anything, I don't even think he called them. There were actually some here defending him for this, it was pretty much when he pulled that, that I had a good idea he was a **** person.

Coryea, I remeber that all to well. At the time I remember thinking he is establishing his "i'm the ONLY one that matters" persona. He finally showed up and then wondered where all the kids were......... He did make a few room appearances so there is that.

Like most here, I liked it when we won and his ability on the field BUT I was concerned about his SHtuff off the field as well. One time STEELERS were driving on a game winning drive and time was a major factor. BEN to brown pass and big first down and guess what........ little chest pops up after the tackle, takes three steps forward and sticks hand/ball out signaling first down and drops it (referee right there) all the while clock is running and they lose about 12 seconds from the action of a selfish player (the referee took his time retrieving the ball as well due to lack of ab's respect of handing the ball over).

He is done and glad the brunt of his "crazy" falls outside of PITTSBURGH.

(his "crap-rap" career will only go as far as his $$$ will take him)

I cant recall anyone that has fallen so far so fast.

I don't know Blitz. Seems he always had the same problems, all the way back to childhood. The OCD like issues with almost spastic like reactions to negativity. Tomlin obviously facilitated his behavior and helped to perpetuate his mental attitude and instability. Not to put all the blame on Tomlin, all he probably did was postpone the inevitable.
