That "nugget" came out of Tomlin's weekly press conference a little while ago.

Tomlin minimized it, saying it might limit the QB early in the week.

For us old farts, hearing about an elbow issue conjures bad memories. That's how Bradshaw's career ended.

And DeCastro broke his hand/arm? I hope he can play through that....

Dont think its serious at all Ben didnt mention on his show

No surprise, Ben can't escape the rush like he could 10 years ago so too often he just meanders around in the pocket waiting for either a receiver to get open or to get hit. He's letting himself get killed back there. Hope he can learn to throw the ball away but at this stage of his career I'm not sure if he can get rid of that bad habit of holding the ball too long.

He has a tempo problem. He's his own worst enemy.Ball has to go. Run the two minute drill all the time and problem solved.

Isn't Ben criticized for being a drama queen? If so, he would surely admit, and possibly overstate an elbow problem if there was one.

One of the worst games of his career this doesn't shock me at all. And I think DeCastro will be fine he'll just wrap that hand with about 6 pounds of tape and extra padding and go out there and be himself

I have to largely disagree with this sentiment. Yes, he’s not 25, and can’t quite elude would-be defenders in the pocket the way we’re used to, but he absolutely can still move, and it’s hardly a problem. Sure, he took a couple of bad sacks on Sunday, but on at least two of those occasions, the defensive player was on him in no time. Hell, he even put a stiff arm on a defensive back on Sunday at the end of one of his runs!

Like he and Tomlin have said: "Sometimes gunfighters get shot." He's not going to stop holding onto the ball, often times too long. It's a double-edged sword.

Ben and DeCastro will both be fine. Ben will be more up tempo and successful as the season progresses. The game WAS IN THE HEAVY RAIN so maybe that had something to do with timing..............Kapish??

got a notification from yahoo big ben questionable, after the **** show he put I expect him to light it up and hopefully when Villanueva needs help grimble is next to him. fully hope we rarely start poor at home the d always is super hyped maybe if ryan is in the stadium or on the sideline that fires up more dl and vince.

Isn't questionable the lowest listing now?

The ratings come out on Thursday, so anything before then is speculation. Just watch the particpation during practices. DNPs lead to being out or doubtful LPs are usually questionable, and FPs they are going to play.

Ben had the 3rd quickest average release time of any starting QB for week one, 2.3 seconds I believe is what I heard on the fan this morning.

Sent from my XT1585 using Steeler Nation mobile app

I think my average release time would be about half a second, while running away from the line.

I think BJ is a solid guard. I think we can make do for a game or two with him.
