Gotta say I like the college targeting rule

It was a good call and it's a good rule. It keeps a defender from breaking his own neck and it protects the offensive player from being speared by a defender's helmet. There is nothing wrong with it or the way it was interpreted.

Back in the good ole days players had enough sense not to do it because they didn't want to end up paralyzed. I'm sure the newer helmets help some but it's still dangerous and is not taught by coaches.

Coach Tom Coughlin scoffs at this remark:anyone:

If someone could invent equipment that forces a player to keep his head up, he could make a lot of money.

The NFL throws out far too few players for dirty play. I believe OBJ getting tossed was only the 3rd ejection all season. Seems like if safety was a concern, you could toss 3+ players a weekend for ******** type dangerous play. So i'd like to see more ejections, but only if the call can be confirmed and it isn't some phantom interpretation. Didn't see the Bosa play.

And OBJ wasn't tossed. Neither was Cody Wallace. Seems like you would have to rip off a head and **** down a neck to get disqualified.

Oh, okay, I even messed that up. It was only 2 ejections as of the OBJ game. 2!. That's laughable.
