Schefter just reported that Josh Gordon failed another drug test and more news to come at 6. What an idiot!! Browns can just never catch a break. Should have taken something while teams were still offering.

That is mind blowing. What a complete and total idiot. He is done. Could have had 20 million in his bank account but instead will end up broke.

The guy has all the talent in the world, but no brains. He doesn't deserve anymore chances anytime soon. Give him a year suspension with random drug testing during. I'm a cannabis supporter, but I'd put my consumption aside for an opportunity like he had. Play for 5-10 years, retire and do whatever you want then so long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

@ProFootballTalk Per source, Gordon tested positive for alcohol.

@ProFootballTalk Because of his DUI, alcohol is one of the substances for which Josh Gordon was being tested.

One of the biggest wastes of talent in history.

It would be tough not to be able to have a beer without getting popped, but I guess it was of his own doing.

I would say that he's an idiot, but he clearly values getting drunk and high more than his career.

Stupis is as stupid does........... What more can one say?

Josh Gordon has now not gone any calendar year since the seventh grade without failing a drug test...

Browns being the Browns again. Speculation on the radio that ownership and management want to trade Johnny Football too. Are his jerseys marked down on the Browns' web store yet?

*EDIT*
Same price so far although Ben Tate jerseys are marked down to $59.99. They're still trying to get $59.99???

Eh he and Johhny F can be had for a 2 for one deal... you send one bust their way and they will dump 2 on you... at some point isn't there a mercy rule for draft picks? shouldn't someone else step in and just pick for them....

I truly think he could have had a chance to be one of the greatest WR of all time if he had a decent head on his shoulders. He was dominant for a couple years on a bad team with no QB.

Hmmmmm . . .this beer or millions of dollars playing a sport i love. Decisions, decisions. UGH the pressure, maybe i should just flip a coin . . .

Ben tate did go to one playoff game this season, that might push up the price a little LOL

How long does a club retain a players' rights for?

If he is suspended indefinitely, stays out of the league for like 2-3 years, plays for the CFL, does whatever and then gets re-instated after numerous clean drug tests and a talk with jesus, do the Browns retain his rights?

Would it be worth trading a 7th round pick for those rights? A cleaned up 27 year old Josh Gordon might still have some value....

Problem is I don' t think this guy will ever get it. Isn't he one strike from a lifetime ban?

I'm pretty sure that there's an agreement between the NFL and the CFL so that if a player gets a long-term suspension in the NFL, he is ineligible to play for a roster in the CFL. Could be wrong, couldve sworn I heard it somewhere

Montreal Alouettes GM Jim Popp has confirmed to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that any suspended player under contract to an NFL team is ineligible to play in the Canadian Football League, saying "all leagues adhere to each other's contracts." Former Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill is eligible because he's no longer under contract in Indianapolis.
