Golson detained for weapon

A question I have is this........ Had it been me with the gun & ammo,....would have they been as kind and hospitable???? Was he actually a canceled permit holder??? I'm glad he got off scot free as MOST gun owners are responsible citizens........ But come on MR. Entitlement Golson...... The airport...GUN???.......WTF are you thinking? Maybe their reference to NOT having one in the chamber was meant in a different loaded approach.

no you are right, he is lucky. He is a lucky idiot.

Since he wasn't arrested, he must be licensed to carry the gun. If so, no harm, no foul in this case. But, he is a Steeler so asswipe Goddell will probably suspend him.

Dude. It was Senquez Golson for chrissake. Not exactly a household name. Odds are they had no idea who he even was.

This guy gonna play anytime soon or what?

what a waste of a 2nd rd pick.

It's idiotic and as a gun owner, it's irresponsible. You do not put a handgun in carry on luggage and expect it to get through security.

So either he forgot he had a gun on him (which is doubtful, because he packed his carry on.
Or he was trying to illegally bring a handgun onto a plane, and more specifically, into the cabin of a passenger plane.

Since he's not a Federal Agent, he is not allowed to do that...

that's most likely the case. I carry mine in a backpack when I leave the house and it's not on my body.

Consider, though, that if he'd gotten used to the weight of the gun and ammo and had been using his "carry-on" regularly, it didn't register when he picked up the luggage. No excuse, though. You're to always know where your gun is.

I'm with you Supe, I'd never forget where MY gun is.

When I leave the house and it's with me, it is my responsibility to know where it is, so no one else gets an opportunity to pick it up and use it.

No excuses to not know you have a firearm in your belongings. I'm glad nothing came out of it.

He could have forgot but I doubt it. Although, back a couple years after 9-11, I was at a job site and had a large pair of tin snips that I had in my duffle bag. I went straight from the job site to the airport and totally forgot about them. They asked me what was in my bag and I am sure I turned white as a ghost. I was just honest with them and told them to keep the tin snips. They took them and sent me on my way.

DUDE........................... You don't think they put him in the computer and found he was a STEELERS player??? Maybe he told them who he was hoping to be let off. I get your point but it don't hold water as they know who he is if not in less than five minutes, they do. You don't have to be a world known name to have entitlement along the way.
