Watching that game yesterday as it went I literally couldn't stop myself from saying **** I can't wait for the Ravens to crap out again. They slober over Jackson sooooooo much. Let the guy win one SB. **** let him win one AFC championship. And he ain't playing with schlubs or coached by Tomlin over there. They never did that with Ben EVER.

yet

yet Ben won 3 AFC Championships and 2 Super Bowls

Those are team accomplishments, though, and Ben didn't play that well at all in one of those Superbowls.

Not that Ben didn't play a big part in the Steelers overall success, but league MVPs are generally going to get more attention and hype in the national media.

Lamar definitely needs to translate his regular season play to the post season, but that was also a criticism of Peyton Manning for a long time, who also won multiple league MVPs before getting to a Superbowl.

Lamar is a media darling with little accomplishments.
Ben won the hardware but was never talked about.
I remember he thru 6 Tds in back to back games and crickets from the media. Not sure anyone has ever done thst before or since

I mean we all know why. Ben was truly disliked by the public. Also played in the era of perceived golden boys Manning,Brady ,Brees.

Literally the stats are a mirror image. Ben has more wins and yards Rogers has more TDs which to me is a bit of a product off offense style. Ben far better in playoffs and two SB. Rogers has 4 mvp. So wtf does thst tell you about that award.
More telling is the lack of defensive players and olinemenen and Wrs... you are telling me a RB or QB is always more impactful on a season than an Aaron Donald or TJ watt?

Its just a total joke

Rogers is a complete dick and horses ***. Even in his own documentary where he tells his side of it he looks bad. He won 4.

And funny Aaron Rogers won how many and is just now coming up to Big Ben in career statistics. Hmmmmm

It's an individual season award. Rodgers was at or near the top of the league in passing TDs several times.

Ben was a great QB for a long time , but he never really had that one season where he clearly separated himself from his peers.

Just trying to understand. Over the course of the whole thing they did the exact same thing. But for 4 years of it Aaron Rogers clearly separated himself from not just Ben Roethlisberger but the entire pack. Pardon me but I find that extremely hard to believe. And passing TDs is not nothing. But if qb A passes a team down to goal line and they score on a run and Qb B throws it in from the 7 that's only worth more in fantasy football. Not real football.

QB is the most impactful position in the field. Probably always has been. There are legitimate reasons why MVP has become almost exclusively a QB award.

For as great as Aaron Donald was, he never gets to a Superbowl without Jared Goff or Matthew Stafford.

Watt has arguably been the best defensive player in the league over the past five seasons, yet what do the Steelers have to show for it?

I'll go further. And I've been more then complementary to Tomlin this year and no one can say I have not. If they go one and done I will still say it was better then last two. But when they won he got a landslide if credit. When they lose.......crickets.

You might find it hard to believe, but that is what happened.

Rodgers had several seasons that were statistically better than any Ben ever had.

The same could be said for the other top QBs from Ben's era like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

For as good and consistent as Ben was, he always considered to be a notch below those players in term of performance over an entire season.

Ben just got **** on again last week when Josh Allen got his 14 TDs in 3 games. The nfln reported that Allen was only bested by Brady's 16 TDs in 3 games and Manning's 15....they **** on Ben because Allen moved into a tie with Ben at 14 TDs in 3 games and NOBODY even mentioned that he was tied with the human scourge known as Big Ben.

**** the nfl. Fixed buncha ****.

Lamar is having a crazy good season with 37 TD passes with two games to go. Our QBs have combined for 44 TD passes the past three seasons.

Lamar won't be sniffing the SB, that's already been penciled in for Patty.
The league wants the Bills to win imo
If Allen becomes a 2nd golden boy=more$$$

Create a more meaningful rivalry
Get a storied franchise their first SB
Those would both generate more $$$ than another one by Mahomes

Just look at the schedules down the stretch
One team of the top AFC teams didn’t get the 3 in 10/11 days schedule…that team was also gifted 3 tomato cans down the stretch run. The league is tryna set up an easy path for BUF.

The Steelers weren’t the only ones jobbed by schedule as the Rats, Chiefs and Texans were too…all the good AFC teams but BUF hmmmmm

Maybe they want the Lions to get their first
That would also be a good $$$ generator and we all know it’s 100% about cash generators at this stage of the NFL

Ben had two seasons where he had the most yards passing. first year he actually tied with Breese at 4952 in a game that Tomlin wouldn't let him throw the ball in the second half of the 4th qtr when asked Tomlin said it wasn't about individual stats, yet he force fed Brown the ball to bake sure he got that really important 5 for fifty streak, also they sure are proud of HIS 18 non losing seasons.

second time Ben threw for 5129 yards this is the same year he had back to back 500 yard 6 touchdown games and I believe he also had two perfect passer rating games that year.

how is that not separating yourself from the pack. he didn't even make the pro bowl when he went for 5129 he also had a 67% completion percent both years. He is the only QB to throw for over 5000 yards and not make a pro bowl that year.

then the SB Holmes gets MVP when it was Big Ben that made AMAZING plays to even get him the ball on that last drive. Brown made a spectacular catch in the end zone but Ben also made a almost impossible throw to get him the ball.

The snubs and bias against BB is sickening, if you look it up there have been several modern day QBs that had numbers no where near what been had and won both SB and season MVP awards.

You are probably 100% correct about the lions because as soon as we are out I am all in on the Lions as well as are most of the fans of other teams I have talked to.

How many Super bowls has Lamar gotten the rats?
How about Rich gannon?

Since 2000 i think there have been only ten players to win MVP... and six of those ended their careers without a super bowl win...

I have to say this Warrior. Ben’s 5129 yard season Was marred by his interceptions. 34 TD’s 16 interceptions. At absolute critical times. They lost 4 of their last 6 to not make the playoffs. Obviously not all on Ben. 2018 season.

Patrick Mahomes 2018 MVP season. 50 TD’s 12 interceptions. For 5097 yards. Patrick Mahomes had 383-580 attempts/competions. Ben had 452-675 attempts/ completions. Mahomes was 32 yards behind Ben’s 5129 yards. Ben had 69 more completions because of all his attempts. Mahomes would have absolutely smoked Ben’s yardage.

Mahomes fully deserved the MVP over Ben. He was all of 23 and threw for 6 touchdowns against us that year.

I’ve been becoming a Lions fan before we’re even officially out

They represent so many things I’ve been hoping this team would do for years

A clicking offense and great X and O OC that draws up great plays and game plans that pick on opponents’ weakness-a sign of intelligent coaching

A bad *** HC with stones that actually believes in his players- Dan Campbell won me over quickly as early as the bite the knee caps presser

A great run game and pass game- that balance attack we’ve craved for years

A pretty solid D with some young playmakers, keeping it together while their best is out…showing guts and resolve.

Yeah I’m stuck with my old lady Steelers (but lately she’s been looking and acting like a spent crack *****) but my other no 1 Lions is a sexy side piece that I must admit is a lot more fun to hang out with/watch…they just make sense where as my old lady got me saying WTF are you doing way too much lately.

Waiting for GP to bring the sexy back…cuz the offense is butt ugly without him.
