By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Wednesday, General Manager of the Pittsburgh Steelers Kevin Colbert spoke at the 2019 NFL Combine regarding star wideout Antonio Brown and the latest on the trade rumors surrounding the nine year veteran. anybody um...wanna offer up some cliffnotes?

Most you know. James will be allowed to test free agency to see if he can get a starting gig, as well as any other backup.

AB will be back if the return isn't good.

Locker room isn't drama filled, highly disputes that claim.

Thy need to do a better job with these young kids, before social media impacts.

Somewhere along these lines..........

Is Ben going to be the first billion dollar QB

I think that our magnification of scrutinizing the PITTSBURGH STEELERS gets so many here worked up that everything becomes bigger / badder / etc.. These players are professionals and as Colbert said, things are said in the heat of the moment and yet 10mins later totally forgotten. I know I get a little fired up and part of that is due to reading this board and the magnification that goes with it. (not all post(s) are magnified).

Salute the nation

Colbert is coming off kind of goody and frankly stupid with some of his remarks.

He says the Steelers might keep Brown and have no problem paying him the 2.5 million dollar roster bonus on March 17 and that Tomlin does a great job
managing players and the locker room.

"Players get emotional, players get through it, players come out of it," Colbert said. "Teams benefit if they can all manage that and that's something I know Coach Tomlin has been great at. Coach Tomlin understands and manages player emotions very well, so I have no worry about his ability -- not just in Antonio's case -- but in any player's case."

He is doing damage control. They want Mr. Big Titty gone, so to get their desired value they have to calm the waters.

Sniff it to see if you need to bathe yet.

I expect him to shut up and negotiate in private. Saying Tomlin did a good job in the locker room makes him look stupid around the league and frankly weak. If Tomlin did such a good job why is Brown dead set on getting out of town and why all the shenanigans. the league knows all about him quitting on the team, his having a house instead of staying at the dorm in training camp, etc. Knowing Tomlin was weak on him and still there is a huge problem makes teams wonder what they will be getting. Better to shut up instead of acting the fool like Colbert is doing. V=Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

Colbert needs to get some positive PR back for Brown. So far he seems to be doing a pretty good job of that.

Quit blaming others for Brown's actions.

Brown was coddled and allowed to be a piece of **** by Tomlin. That is why we are going to lose a great player for peanuts.

We night not get coequal value but, hopefully, we will get a willing contributor.

The questions asked...what do you expect Colbert to say. Brown continues to run his mouth so we still are getting questions about the teams make up. Lets see it as it is Brown is the problem get rid of him.. The coach has no control or leadership himself, they won't get rid of him. So we will witness a head shaking draft, we will witness the same kind of year , lose games that are important to get in playoffs and get the same old Tomlin post game BS.

it would be insane to expect anything different

Maybe we could get off our collective *****, shake it up a bit and actually make a bid for #7 now that there is a 6 timers club forming. I fully expect them cheating massholes to make a bid for 7 before us though as we stubbornly attempt to throw the same **** at a wall and hope for a masterpiece.

I'm not in the locker room to see how Tomlin handles it but,
we know by his facebook live **** show, AB has no respect for him or Ben, and AB is the one whining about respect. When the head coach walks in to address the team and the QB says lets go, Coach is here, and you sit there and pay no attention to either and just keep smiling for your dumb *** social media video, you're an *******.

We do know, Tomlin sucks at challenges, time management, keeps trying the same tiresome scheme on D, and as much as everyone hates to hear it, once the "Cowher" guys started to leave the quality on the field and in the locker room as gone down hill.

What do you expect him to say?

we don't live in our fears of social media and accept that. we'll be in the lab turning over stones to unleash hell this season.
