Giants fire head coach Ben McAdoo and General Manager Jerry Reese

Following the disastrous mishandling of Eli Manning's benching, it had become clear all the hair gel in the world was not going to save McAdoo's job. While the coach did shepherd the team to a playoff berth last season, his offense was dreadful even as the Giants were winning, and those struggles continued this season even before injuries struck. If the losses were not enough, McAdoo was forced to suspend both Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Janoris Jenkins this season, suggesting there were serious problems in the locker room. Put frankly, this move had to be made

The Maras love Captain Caveman. I wouldn't be surprised if they threw a bank at him, but Billy won't do it though. He likes the middle chair at CBS too much.

Reese had a helluva run. Some team will hire him immediately.
 
That is comical stuff from their ownership. Clearly are trying to act like they had no say in whether Eli was benched or not.
There was so much backlash from fans that now they fired the HC and GM, they're putting him back in as starter as if they never wanted that to happen in the first place.
Used both the HC and GM as fall guys for the move.
Classy stuff.

A bit of a joke, but when the NY Giants start a cast off New Your Jet's Qb, you know things are bad.
 
Unfortunately the Eli situation is on MARA............If he did not want the Eli debacle to happen he would have fired him and the GM on the spot.....Before Sunday....

I agree. I can't figure why anyone still floats Cowher's name as a coach. Why would he want the aggravation? He made enough money as a coach and commentator to never want the coach's grind again.

The only reason his name gets floated for the Giants is that he lives in NYC.

Another reason... is that Cowher is supposedly tight with the Mara family and the respect goes both ways. However, I agree... NO CHANCE that Cowher goes back into coaching.

They should have traded McNugget to the Browns for Sammie Coates. (Is he still with the Browns)
 
I just need them to lose out and get the #2 at best draft pick. I'm in this football pool that I have to pay in $5 for every loss unless they win their devision (that ain't happening) or take last place in their conference. If they end up last place in conference I could win near $100.00. What a switch around as I drafted out of what teams were left at #12 and I felt this was the most solid pick for at least a wild card, man was I wrong but there is still a chance for a small candle light at the end of the tunnel.
