Gardner Minshew - thoughts?

pass. there will be better options available for us
 
I would rather keep the Duck and call Kordell out of retirement
 
Who are the better options? Foles? Jimmy G? Mariota? Definitely don’t want Wentz...

I rather see Rudolph swim or sink, if he sinks the team gets a high draft pick and hopefully gets their new franchise QB
 
I would take minshew, but wouldn't be my first choice. Fitzpatrick would be my first choice, but Ben may outlast him. Mariota wouldn't be bad and i think Winston maybe OK. Winston had a lot of picks, but so does brady with arians offense. I find it hard to believe wentz is shot, but would have to find a way around the contract. I think minshew is much better than duck or rudolph though
 
I don't know if Ben will be back next year or not so until I know for sure it's hard to say what I'd do at QB.
 
He's only 6'1"? Kinda short for a QB, but that's neither here or there. He wouldn't be my first pick, but he's probably better than anyone we have behind Ben. For a late round pick, yep, I'd listen.

Not really. Brees, Wilson and Mayfield are all under 6’2

Brady has 11 Interceptions. That doesn't really qualify as a lot especially when Winston threw 88 picks in 5 seasons and has never thrown less than 15 in a full season. There really is no statistical comparison between the two.
 
If you look at Minshew's stats, he really isn't that bad considering what he has to work with in Jax. With talent around him, he might be ok. Maybe not a world beater, but I'd take him over Rudolph, Dobbs and Hodges in a heartbeat. We've seen what they have and Minshew is better than all of them by a mile. If you're looking for a bridge QB, I'm not sure what you're expecting to get.
 
I’d be very interested. Minshew has looked really good at times on a bad team. He was playing injured much of this year. I don’t know he’ll ever be a star but I’m pretty sure he can be at least Kirk Cousins level, so worst case scenario you have a great backup and decent starter.

on a side note, I had to type Minshew 5 times because auto complete kept changing it to "I’m she’s".

yea, it doesn't matter if he can play. His stats are not too bad. He's not Josh Allen or Mahomes, but could hold down the fort until one of those fall to us(wouldn't hold my breath, though). They don't grow on trees.
 
Minshew is a good QB in the eyes of the fantasy football players. No thanks.

I'm not opposed to trade up and get Lawerence or Wilson. Will check out Trey Lance later, though his lack of experience and weak defenses played make me wonder. Also he hardly played this year.

Based on what I seen Lance uses Play Action often where his receiver is wide open vs. a Montana St. level DB, and he runs vs players who won't make an NFL defense. I think the NFL will be shock for him.

Trade up for Lawerence? That will never happen, sorry. We are going to be drafting in the 20s again. He's going 1 or 2 overall.
