Games Balls, Game Goats & FU's........Week 3 vs Texans.....

Not yet. A balance between the two seems best for now. 70/30. I will say Conner had unusually good blocking and with the same Blocking McFarland gets more yardage.

Given Conners history of not being durable a start for McFarland is likely. Once that happens we’ll see how he does.

I think McFarland will change up or predictable play calling. He can run outside and beat a defender to the edge or do damage on screens.

Probably our fastest back since Parker. His acceleration looks really good to me.

I can't believe It but thats exactly what I saw today.
Great blocking, Great usage of multiple backs by coach Tomlin, and a Great game from Conner, Great. I am the biggest Conner doubter on this board, but I have to give him his due when he plays well.
This was by far his best game in years. Last week it looked pretty bad from James outside of his long run, but this week he seemed to get some tough yards in key situations.
That said
With blocking like that, Willie Parker has 200+ yards and a few touchdowns.
Mcfarland sample size is too small to say much but it was a hell of a start, and visually he looks to have twice the burst and acceleration of Conner or Snell.
I may be most excited about Tomlin giving James some help instead of trying to run the wheels off of him.

I don't think it was that sketchy...Claypool adjusted his route to go more upfield, just as the defender adjusted to the route Claypool had been running and they ran into each other....obvious defensive PI

I am completely biased when it comes to calls for against Steelers. That was far from obvious. Grabbing his arm was obvious

Yeah I saw an arm grab there, not sure how the ref misses that.

and a big **** you to the douchebags crying about the opponents the Steelers have faced in the first 3 weeks. they didn't set the schedule, all they can do is take out whoever is next
