I've noticed that happen many times in the past and I don't understand why. Of course, I've never bothered to look it up, but I though the rule about going out of bounds was pretty cut and dry.

The clock stops for just a brief moment when a player goes out of bounds with the ball and begins running again as soon as the refs spot the ball. The exceptions to this rule are (1) with 2:00 or less in the first half and (2) with 5:00 or less in the 2nd half.

That has been the rule for more than 10 years, people. The NFL instituted the change to try and reduce the amount of time games took.

On James, his blocking is getting better, and he continues to grow are a receiver.

It's more likely the Jets come back because of a turnover or incomplete passes preserving clock and TOs, than coming back because the Steelers ate clock and forced them to use their TOs but failed to score.

The scoreboard was the Steelers friend, the clock was their enemy.

damned if you do, damned if you don't... Just can't please some of you. Both the score and the clock were the Steelers friends in this case. The jets, wrongfully punted to a team they could not stop from moving the ball pretty much at will, The score would have been completely out of hand had there not been some drops by the WR's. I'm fine with them not letting their foot off the gas. It's how you make sure to put teams away, it's what this board has been clamoring for years for them to do.
