Ben is still awesome. A few throws I know he wanted back, but overall a very good day
Coates is a lot like Heyward-Bey...Really fast, but will drop passes he should really make

Defense gave up quiet a few yards to a marginal QB...but did keep them scoreless in the second half....

Jesse James is a solid contributor...not sure how they let him get that wide open for the TD

ravens lost, clowns lost and cincy down big...good day for Steelers fans

He did have some stitches sewn into his one finger. His one hand was numb the rest of the game. Might of hand something to do with some of his drops(this game anyways).

AND, and, and Jarvis looked like an NFL player several times today.

Jarvis looked decent last week too. Not worthy of a first round pick, but he is at least noticeable in games now.

Cockrell had his lunch money stolen today. Should have given him some help. I do like cockrell as a player and person, but he was over matched today.

Ben played great. Would have been better with out a few drops, but comes with the territory.

Coates still played well. Hard to really knock him..I can't even imagine our offense if Bryant was not suspended.

Bell was good as a receiver, but running was tough going which was to be expected.

I am impressed with Jesse James. He really has stepped up his game.

Oline pass protected very well

listened on Sirius. Oline sounded great, according to Wolf...

Jarvis didn't draft himself in the first.

Marshall made plays in the first half but was held to one catch in the second.

Why don't the Steelers run out the clock? I don't really care other than the chance for injury and remote chance of a freak comeback by the Jets, but why? Throwing the ball on 1st down, ahead by 11, with 2:30 left in the game. Why?

The pass protection was incredible. The one "sack" was a matter of Ben holding the ball forever-and-a-day, until one of the Jets lineman finally swiped at that the ball.

The run-blocking was not quite as good.

But here is why the Steelers offense is so freaking good. Wanna go nickel-dime to control Ben, AB, Wheaton and Coates? Bell will rip you a new *******.

Wanna put 8 in the box to stop Bell? Ben, AB, Wheaton and Coates will rip you a new *******.

"why don't the Steelers ever put teams away" so they start putting teams away (the only team in the NFL to NOT have a game decided by fewer than 7 points) and it's "why don't the Steelers run out the clock"

The game, while however unlikely, was not over. It was still a two score game with a TD and a FG, stranger things have happened. Get the TD, put the team away, move on to next week...simple.

Anybody notice on our last drive with 6 or 7 minutes to go, on 2 consecutive complete passes our receiver ran out of bounds but the clock kept running?
I ain't bitching but I can't believe nobody caught that.

Outside of two minutes once the ball is set the clock starts to run.

It was nice to see the Steelers have a killer instinct and put the game away rather than run into a brick wall of a defensive front and get held to a punt or field goal attempt.

I've noticed that happen many times in the past and I don't understand why. Of course, I've never bothered to look it up, but I though the rule about going out of bounds was pretty cut and dry.

Cockrell was nowhere near as bad today as people are claiming.

He made some mistakes, but the biggest play he gave up was a TD that he was in position to intercept and the receiver caught off a deflection.

Marshall couldn't get away from him to save his life.

I thought the clock started stopping after 5min in each half on OOB plays.

On the second one, I was watching closely and it never stopped. I'm pretty sure it didn't on either one.

Huh. I thought OOB always stopped the clock. Never paid much attention, I guess.

Ravens game on the TD that was overturned, ref said clock would start after he placed the ball. Made no sense to me if the catch was ruled incomplete.

Yeah I guess I haven't given it much thought before. I just always assumed it always stopped.

What I noticed was a big hole in the middle of our defense in the middle of the field.

It's more likely the Jets come back because of a turnover or incomplete passes preserving clock and TOs, than coming back because the Steelers ate clock and forced them to use their TOs but failed to score.

The scoreboard was the Steelers friend, the clock was their enemy.

That was a fuckup, if the refs did that.

On James, his blocking is getting better, and he continues to grow are a receiver.
