Game Day Thread: Steelers vs. Ravens Part One

well, at least now, with a 1-4 record, we're going to get to find out which guys on this team have pride and will continue to play hard, despite the nincompoops that comprise the coaching staff, and those who will be mailing it in. Gonna be interesting to see who's gonna be quitting on the season.
 
We showed today a defense that given an offense would be damn good as they mature. We are just ****** on the offensive side by injuries defections and ****** play-calling. The team never gave up in this one. They played hard made big plays but just came up short.

Thought to myself that is where we lost this game. Got put behind eight ball right off the bat. So much for not living in our fears. When we played stupid at the beginning.

AB is ****. I don’t care how talented you are he is a ****** broken loser who tore the heart out of a city then **** on two more cities. I miss his talent but I would rather lose with class than deal with a **** like him.

I really dont see the anger about deferring. Pluses and minuses either way..Get the ball and score a TD game over of course. Kick a FG they still get the ball to tie the game on a FG or win on a TD...but if you stop them you can win on a FG no TD needed. This isnt the old rules

Explain the how it was bad exactly. Anything is a risk in OT. You control where they get the ball have potentially better odds of stopping them and getting better field position. They had not been scoring TDs defense had been pretty decent and offense was in the hands of a young man making his first foray into the pro game. Why not try and put him in a better situation not his fault JuJu had it punched out. I was thinking they should defer.

Our kick return unit is absolute garbage. They pinned us inside the 20 on almost every kick-off, so I understand the logic of deferring in OT. We ended up with the ball around the 30 after the defense made the stop. Juju blew it.
 
With ben and Mason maybe you take the ball. 3rd string QB I can understand hoping your defense get a stop and then good field position then get a FG. Less pressure on Duck.

Oh I know exactly what i missed from reading this thread..haha. Deferring in OT? tisk tisk....Lamar Jackson sucks balls I knew he wouldn't beat us,but we're great at collective failure efforts this year internally.
 
The game was alot closer than I thought it would be. I hope Rudy is alright. Hodges was pretty good considering the circumstances. I don't blame JuJu for the fumble, that was just a good defensive play unfortunately. Roughing the passer call was BS. Going on defense first in ot was a gutsy call but stupid, althoigh it almost worked.
Who's the next qb to be signed?

I just think you should bet on yourself, not the other team. Doesn’t matter now. Had an opportunity to win and blew it.

Bad turnover. Granted the guy punched it loose. But these guys need to learn how to secure the ball.
The Steelers have lost a game on Conner’s fumble, now JuJu’s.

Coaching sucks, but the talent is there. The Steelers were damn in it with a 3rd string QB.

The roughing the passer call was BS. Yet this is the same crew who should’ve ejected Thomas after the hit on Rudolph.
The nfl is wishy washy with calls.
 
You can't blame JuJu on that. The rat made a great play to punch the ball out. Nobody would have hung on to that. The refs and Roger Godell can go **** themselves. Thomas helmet to helmet draws the same ******* 15 yards as Ola does when he legally tackles Jackson. Thomas has to be ejected for that. Until that cockweasel in New York actually hits players with suspensions and massive fines this **** will just keep happening.

Maybe a little less Fortnite and a lot more attention to football. Just a thought.

The game is really hard to take serious anymore. As a collective whole,it's garbage. It's not even worth getting upset over.

I can't disagree with this more, that was a routine catch and run made every week. Receivers would be fumbling 5 times a game if what you said was true, you have got to secure that ball.
