Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's.........week 6 vs Clowns

Game Balls-OL. Not one sack today. Aaron had time in the pocket and he was not sacked once.
Defense-they all stepped up.
Offense-well balanced attack against a good defense.
Coaching- they coached a complete game. Wasn’t perfect, but the defense didn’t allow a touchdown, the offense put up a 2 score lead.

Goats- Acrisure turf. We got lucky that Boz didn’t injure his plant leg.
Refs- again, Watt was getting mugged, at times I thought the RT was doing his best Blue Oyster Bar dance he was holding Watt so tight (I know you guys heard the Blue Oyster Bar song from Police Academy go off in your head). Plus calling him offsides after he check with the line judge is just petty. Tom Petty.

I expect to hear this week that San Fran has reached out to Pitt about a trade for either Highsmith or Cole Holcomb due to the Warner injury.

I'm gonna give the turds rookie QB a game ball just for surviving, with better receivers this game might have been closer and the kid took it in the chin and still kept trying.

He took a few on the chin and kept fitting the ball in tight windows hitting receivers who frequently dropped the ball and got zero help from the running game too. He was in a tough spot.

The Steelers also helped him look better than he was dropping about 4 catchable INTs, if they get even two of those the Stains fans are crucifying the kid in a lynch mob calling for Shaddeur…and I for one would like to see at least a sneak peak of that 💩 show

Spot on by the coaching, this may have been a top 10 game Tomlin has coached in his illustrious career…and the OL!!!

Carolina needs a TE

Wouldn’t mind exploring a Muth for Hubbard trade if we didn’t have to kick in more than a day 3 pick. Or even Muth and Gainwell for Hubbard? Gotta figure they’re rolling with Dowdle and Hubbard should be back from his calf in week 7…maybe after Bengals game???

Gotta figure we get a call from SF about Holcomb, makes too much $en$e

Me too
Just not sure he would fit what they’re looking for
I think there is a need for edge there with Nick Bosa out. However, I don’t think Highsmith would fit their 4-3. I think Holcomb would be a better right now for, but I think Queen may be playing better partially due to Holcomb being out there with him. (Nothing against Peyton Wilson), I think Queen doesn’t have to worry about Wilson as much if that makes sense.

I would rather move Highsmith, we have depth there. Holcomb is more of a unique piece to plug in the middle.
The Steelers are in firm control of the AFCN and as long as they don't screw it up, have a legit chance at a top 4 seed. No way should the Steelers look to trade any of their top backups or starters for a draft pick. The only move I'd make is Freiermuth because he's clearly 3rd string and that would only be if they get a WR2 in return.

I wasn’t advocating moving anyone, but if they were going to trade a LB, I would move Highsmith before Holcomb.

I would too, but there’s the dead cap issue with 56, that’s a hell of a chunk of change to chew on if he’s traded. I really like Holcomb.
He’s a warrior, but financially and draft wise, I think it’s easier to absorb his dead cap hit vs Highsmith. They could possibly get 3 and let’s say SF is desperate to get a guy in to fill in for Warner, Khan could be in the drivers seat for this deal.

I’m sayin the 49ers should call
Not saying we should make the deal

IMO Holcomb is our 2nd best ILB (and great depth) would definitely want more than they would offer most likely. Totally agree Muth for a receiver would be a great move!

The Steelers should be buyers rather than sellers as this is their “all in” season with their 1 year window to attempt to do the unthinkable with Mike and advance past the WC round. If we play our cards right and everything breaks in our favor (like it is so far) we could get blown out in the divisional round instead of WC round!!!! Winning 🏆

and honestly I don't want to lose any depth at OLB midseason, herbig goes down (God forbid it were TJ) and all we have is Jack Sawyer for depth

This defense is toast when there isn't a pass rush. They have a deadly package in the works with Watt, Herbig, and Highsmith on the field. I'm not messing with that at all.

Secondary looked good, but vs Flacco, quick release, and Chase, they better show up from Kick off.

Game Balls:

Pat Meyer-his schemes and guys kept Rodgers clean against a great DL and has shown some real innovation the past 2 weeks with the extra olineman

All offensive linemen-shut down the Browns DL, created runs, allowed time for some downfield passing, and best of all silenced punk *** Miles Garrettt to a non factor all day

Arthur Smith-the first play from scrimmage was the exact opposite of what everyone in that stadium expected, most of all the Browns, keep innovating keep cooking

Mike Tomlin-the head coach gets the credit for the work done under him for better or worse, a great gameplan was made by all, changes were made to old patterns that I’m sure he had to approve the implementation of, we are 4-1, he gets credit for being the lead man in that record so far

Game Goats: None

FU’s: FU punk *** Garrett, Steeler Nation hasn’t forgotten about what you did to Rudolph and how you lied to try to save yourself, congrats on selling out and resigning with the factory of sadness and enjoy many more 1-5 starts to the season, you deserve it.

FU all the Stains fans who celebrated what Garrett did to Rudolph, most classless fan base ever, enjoy another year of misery
