Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's..........week 10 @ Chargers.....

Gameball - Warren. about the only one who did anything on offense.

Goat - Rodgers just had an awful game. First drive missed an easy first down and it was all down hill from there. 2 huge overthrows, a slight underthrow to Austin, a bad int, took a safety, threw a pass to Metcalf on 4th down where he was blanketed by 2 people. I know people are blaming the line, but Rodgers had 3 seconds to throw in the first half.

Jones - he has been OK most of the year, but he got abused yesterday. From blocking no one to getting pushed back into Rodgers he did not have a good night.

FUs - whoever came up with the gameplan or called plays. We had no rhyme or reason to what we were doing. We had some success running, but take out the jumbo package on 3rd and short. Too many low percentage shots which were drive killers. I don't know if Rodgers was being greedy or the underneath stuff was not there, but we did not seem to attempt to get slants / seam routes going at all.

I could not wait to see this post today. I will say Warren deserve the gem ball gives is all. Third and three and he is on sidelines????? I will give Watt one because of always giving his all and after seeing the stat on TV of how many chip blocks he receives, he deserves some credit.

Tomlin deserves all the other categories...I know not allowed to point at Tomlin, by most here. But really, I despise the Hairballs but last night Hairball was involved every time they showed him. Tomlin reminded of the old guy never being to a football game, give a ticket sitting staring in wonderment of what is going on. Tomlin shows zero care or emotion at the game, can see Baltimore Hairball on the officials on the no call om Metcalf?? This never losing season BS by networks has lost it power. Three out of four loses, aging the cave in under Tomlin. It is obvious something is missing with this team. Coaches we have you have ask, who has improved player wise. ?? Last night coverage not that good once more tackling ability not that good, receivers getting open never good. Why is that??
Alot of goats last night for sure too many to name.

I forgot one more FU as I always listen to our radio announcers and I will say they both live in la la land. Neither are very good grading them to what we had on the radio the get a zero. . I almost turned them off to listen to the network then I saw who they were and turned the volume down.

It's inexusable to STILL not have your future franchise QB out there taking his lumps. LOL at us trotting a 42 year old out there. The Patriots are doubled over in laughter at this joke of a franchise.
Why single out just the Patriots? I'm sure they could care less. Besides, the Patriots have been a joke since Brady left until this season so far.

Last night basically showed that the offense will only go as far as Rodgers can play above his age and the coaching game plan this season. Rodgers has been the best QB this team has had since probably a couple of years before Ben retired until the game yesterday. The team might not even have a win this year without Rodgers.

Rodgers threw the one bad interception (and a lot of bad passes in general). However, the second INT was a perfect pass that hit Austin in stride right in the hands, that bounced right off his hands to the defender. At this point, Wilson is the more dynamic receiver with more upside. Move him up to WR2 and let him work through his inexperience on the field. He looks like a very promising talent. He's definitely more athletic. If in doubt, go with the better athlete.

Speaking of Austin, I felt the play after he didn't secure the pass for the INT, showed the value of having someone like Rodgers at QB regarding developing young talent. The very next play after the drop, once they had the ball back, Rodgers went right to Austin. Very classy move from someone that knows how to win and how to build up confidence of the young players around him.

There is hope for the team if the coaches can somehow actually pull things together. There is enough talent on defense and offense that if coached up can win. However, that also means the coaches need to actually coach up and come up with new game plans and be able to adjust in the middle of a game. It's almost a given with Tomlin's teams if the initial game plan works, the Steelers do well. If that plan goes to crap, the coaching staff does not seem to have the ability to make many in-game adjustments. I'd say it could be the players available on the field, but it's been a staple of Tomlin's teams most of his coaching career with this team. I'd lean towards the coaches being at fault.

The Steelers offense is beyond predictable by the middle of the season. They basically run or throw short every play. Teams hardly even need to worry about the deep ball because Tomlin doesn't want it, or the OL can't give the QB enough time to let something develop. I also don't understand the TE issue. The team has three TEs that can make consistent big plays, yet we can see long stretches where they are not even involved in the passing game. Are they being forced to block? Muth has the big game agains Cinci, then has been mostly absent in the offense since (and before).

I'm glad they didn't mortgage the future on a WR2 this year at the trade deadline since the offensive game plan doesn't use the WR2 or 3 much and barely uses WR1.

Was TJ even on the field most of the game? He had the one gift of a sack where the QB was pushed into him, but seemed to be a non-factor. I was looking to see if I could see his number after not hearing his name called most of the game. Tomlin needs to actually come up with a new plan to get him off the double teams. He's obviously not at the level to be able to beat double and triple teams anymore. This was an issue for the latter half of last year as well. Maybe he's playing with an injury?

Pierre needs to play over Slay until he shows he can’t handle it.

Warren needs 15 carries minimum going forward

Anyone notice Ramsey looked a lot like Minkah last year playing a lot of deep center field?
There's that pesky good logic. You know that **** ain't 'llowed 'round here!!!

Many plays were left on the field last night, but last night was 100% on the dinosaur QB.

So many missed throws that weren’t even close, when he wasn’t missing throws long or high he was panicking and his clock was moving too fast cuz he was scared of taking contact.

Just an abysmal performance by F-F-Ron
Not allowed to use A’s til he steps his game up.

AS had several plays designed with guys schemed wide open where Rodgers just couldn’t connect.

FU to Tomlin for not being a good chap and running some smelling salts over for his geriatric QB, he obviously needed a wake up call
Best post of the week!!!

We got ABSOLUTELY SHAFTED by the refs on the Jonnu catch that was overturned. The ball never moved and the whole world saw it but not the darn refs...

So angry today.

Maybe I'll go home and break one of my spare TVs???

Save the TV berm, breath in 1-2-3-4——————exhale 4-3-2-1,………… ten times.

Life’s too short to break TVs the day after. Now if watching the actual game, that’s the time to do it.

Salute the nation

Warren is a beast
The D looked good and Queen was surprisingly effective in the okays I watched
Pickett has got to go. Overthrows, picks, and looking confused. I don't care who wanted to draft him

Also Fire Tomlin.

Uhh we beat the p*ts head to head this year and Maye looked nothing like a franchise QB in that game

I didn’t see Vrabel laughing after that game

Screw the cheatriots with a red hot poker

Best Buy is going to be in love with you.

3 wins and a tie gets them to the promised land.!!!

They strive for absolute minimalistic effort.

Pathetic discipline

Salute the nation
Idk Drink! Did you look at the remaining games?
At the Bears who are much improved and will be fighting for a playoff spot.
At the Lions, forget about it.
At the Ravens and at home against them. They’re rolling now and healthy.
The Bills who will be fighting for a playoff spot.
And the Browns in Cleveland which has become a hard place to win anymore.
If they go 4-4 the rest of the way I’d be shocked.

Lmao if you think we are in better shape than them for the future and even this season. Lmao!

Good thing they turned it over 5 times so our 42 year old dead end QB and dog sh$t coach could eeek out a meaningless win. Smh.

They have a competent staff in place and their franchise QB. We have neither. DUH.

You can't possibly be this mentally handicapped. Can you?

Yeah you can. Embarrassing
Just a couple of weeks ago you called the 90% of the posters on this board who want Tomlin gone “crackers” for criticizing him

You are the biggest POS on this board, no one respects you, that is all

How are they in better shape than us?

They have a retread head coach who has already failed once without any significant winning and gotten canned, that’s way more important than the first half of one season

You’re ready to declare Maye a FRANCHISE QB now based on what??? You’re an idiot

That franchise has gone back to what it was pre-Brady: above average every couple of years and garbage the rest. I could care less about what their record is today. Things get proven in the post season, until they prove it in January they are what they were last year-nothing of any significance

You wanna hate on Tomlin, be my guest, I want him gone badly too, but don’t throw garbage arguments around if you don’t want to get called on it

You wanna slobber over the F****** Patriots go do it somewhere else, they are the team any self respecting Steelers fan hates above all others for cheating their *** off and stealing rings from us and getting away with it free and clear

Yeah, F you clown. You can't make your lame point without name calling. You think any team in the NFL would rather have Tomlin/Rodgers instead of Vrabel/May? hahaha. Go F yourself.

According to you Maye is a franchise QB and the Patriots are laughing at a team they lost to a few weeks ago. Moron

According to you Mate is a franchise QB and the Patriots are laughing at a team they lost to a few weeks ago. Moron
He IS going to be their franchise QB. What is wrong with you? It's like talking to a pet rock, so I won't read any more of your nonsense.
