The Steelers started this game on offense with great field position on their first 2 drives....their 40 and the Chargers 45 yd line and managed just 3 points. That was the highlights tonight for the offense as Aaron Rogers played some of the worst football of his career tonight.....consistently overthrowing receivers who were wide open. The first 3 drives the Steelers managed 4 net yards of offense and it didn't get much better after that. Jaylen Warren was about the only bright spot for the Steelers as he seems like one of the few players who puts in a consistent effort week in, week out. Arthur Smith got too much credit for being a good OC in Tennessee when you have a Generational Talent at RB in his prime named Derrick Henry who made it easy for Arthur Smith to look like a Genius. Here we are 9 games into the season and I feel like we have an OC who is Vintage 1981. HE'S GOTTA GO! Our offense can't even go 5 wide and spread out a Defense with the personnel the Steelers have on that roster! It's actually pathetic! This Steelers team will be lucky to win 2 or 3 more games this season....you can bank on that! Time of Possession tonight was heavily favored for the Chargers almost a 15 minute advantage. The offense couldn't do a damn thing tonight as 3rd down was an absolute drive killer for the offense as they were 2 for 11 on 3rd down conversions. The 2 conversions were in garbage time when the score was 25-3.

Defensively they played ok the first half but as the game wore on and the Chargers were able to convert some 2nd & 3rd & long plays for first downs sustaining drives are wearing down the Steelers Defense. The one glaring thing to note about the Steelers Defense tonight is that they were gashed up the middle by a patchwork Chargers O-line with 3 starters OUT and a 2nd year backup RB named Vidal who put up over a 100 yds from scrimmage including 95 yds rushing.

Not many positives to take away from this one. Make no mistake this Steelers team is c00ked! They'll be lucky if they win 2 or 3 more games this season. At this point I'm all for starting Will Howard to see if the kid has any future in the NFL at QB. Ravens will win the division regardless! Can Omar Kahn & the Steelers Front Office stop trying to buy a team into playoff contention with all these Free Agents and instead do what they've always done.....Build through the Draft! We could have sure used Beanie Bishop on the roster tonight when Slay went down! Oh wait.....forgot Tomlin cut him!

Per Tomlin's Post Game:
Darius Slay - Concussion Protocol
Joey Porter Jr - Was able to return

Game Balls:
Jaylen Warren - You could easily make a case for Warren as the team's MVP this season.....just for his effort out there 70yd rushing 21 receiving tonight

Game Goats:
Aaron Rogers - Straight up DOG $hit tonight! 2 INT's....too many overthrown balls to wide open receivers. I don't know if he's ever looked worse at QB
DK Metcalf - Send this ****** packing! He plays with no heart! Guy is GUTLESS! Here for a paycheck and that's all

FU's:
Arthur Smith - He would be a great OC if this was 1981 but the NFL today is a spread formation, pass first offense. We can't spread **** with this receiving corps. Time for a new OC!
Mike Tomlin - This guy has gotta go too! The game has passed him by! Sick & tired of hearing the same old bullshit....every week....blah blah blah...."We take responsibility for this loss, We don't like it but we accept it, We will be back, We will be better, etc, etc" Puff, Puff, Smoke, Smoke.....The guy is straight up A$$! He's a walking, talking Rectum!

Aaron's worst game as a Steeler (and apparently his second worst game ever statistically) and we hd no shot.

So many overthrown passes...wtf?

D actually played decent for most of the game.

Boz' untimely miss seemed to deflate the team.

We got butt ****** on 2 serious BS calls.

Rodgers is pushing. Hes trying to make **** from nothing. Doubling Metcalf and other guys arent open or the Defensive linemen are in his lap.

O line was not good. So often standing there with dicks in hand while rodgers is running for life.

Offensively this is our biggest problem. They have 3rd team offensive tackles playing and look the same or better than us.

Somehow Jonnu smith caught 8TDs last year, and had 884 yards receiving. He didnt just forget how.

They talk about calvin austin is the #2 receiver. Sorry but Roman Wilson looks more the part than he does.

Prior to the game Bob labriola did his weekly interview with Tomlin. He asked him about his dog house. I believe Tomlin referring to Romans fumble as boneheaded plays last week. Labriola asked if there was a way to get back into his good graces. Tomlin couldnt say that there was a way out of it.

Game Ball:
Jaylen Warren - another good game from Warren. He should get 25 touches a game.

Game Goat:
Aaron Rodgers - He was out there looking like Trubisky, Pickett, etc. Maybe the worst game of his career.

FUs:
Arthur Smith - tired about hearing about this guy’s offense like it’s a brilliant scheme, it’s not.

Mike Tomlin - The odds of winning a playoff game are decreasing by the week. The same can be said about the playoffs.

I thought Pierre did well coming in for Slay.
Absolutely man!
I truly don’t understand why this guy consistently doesn’t get many snaps every Sunday.
everybody cries about beanie baby, but this guy is probably our second best corner on the team, if we’re using Ramsey at safety.
In fact, I would argue. He’s just as good as Joey Porter on the outside.

I would also add an FU to Joey Porter for dropping that gift of an interception on the charger side of the 50 in that game. That would’ve been a big momentum changer because I think that possibly could’ve went to the house.
Are we sure this guy is the son of Joey Porter Senior?

Many plays were left on the field last night, but last night was 100% on the dinosaur QB.

So many missed throws that weren’t even close, when he wasn’t missing throws long or high he was panicking and his clock was moving too fast cuz he was scared of taking contact.

Just an abysmal performance by F-F-Ron
Not allowed to use A’s til he steps his game up.

AS had several plays designed with guys schemed wide open where Rodgers just couldn’t connect.

FU to Tomlin for not being a good chap and running some smelling salts over for his geriatric QB, he obviously needed a wake up call

I have come to the conclusion that it isn't the Steelers fault, or Tomlin, or the players. It is my fault for continuing to tune in to this nonsense. Therefore, I went to bed after the Chargers first TD, and slept soundly. I cannot control the garbage on the field, but I can control my reaction to it. I think I am pretty much done for the year, unless it is crappy weather. Not because I think it will prove some point, either. I thought with Rodgers at least it would be entertaining. It isn't even that.

I agree but we will win at least four more games to keep the Tomlinship streak alive although the Ravens, maybe even the Bengals, will win the division. As I said in another thread, there are two different teams that suit up for the Steelers - one you saw against the Colts, Patriots, and Vikings and the one you saw tonight and earlier against the Packers and Bengals. I don't know who makes the choice each week but that's my theory and I'm sticking to it - prove me wrong.

Yes, it’s a simple as one team wins and the other team loses… there’s your two teams😁
But I get your point, there is no middle ground with this team. They’re either pretty darn good or just plain bad.

It would appear he has more Ike Taylor’s DNA with drops like that one.

And they both wear/wore #24.

3 wins and a tie gets them to the promised land.!!!

They strive for absolute minimalistic effort.

Pathetic discipline

Salute the nation

Tomlin snaps again in post game. If you aren't telling him how great he is, he throws his milk all over the floor and melts down. He really is the ultimate POS.

Tomlin's model is 4 or 5 turnovers equals a win. He's a clown as is anyone still carrying his water.

Also, I won’t hang this loss directly on Tomlin because Rodgers probably missed 14 points on overthrowing Smith and DK in the first half and his pick set up another Chargers score.

But, it’s absolutely inexcusable to have 41 year old Rodgers out there dropping back every snap with under 4 minutes left and the game out of reach, he took a nasty hit too. If Rodgers gets hurt long term that is the end of the season. It smacks of pride and vanity. Tomlin should be in Rooneys office explaining himself for that this morning with the paint peeled off the wall but we all know that won’t happen…

It's inexusable to STILL not have your future franchise QB out there taking his lumps. LOL at us trotting a 42 year old out there. The Patriots are doubled over in laughter at this joke of a franchise.

Embarrassing effort by anyone other than Warren. Did they have a single 3rd down conversion? They didn’t when I left after the score was 25-3.
And FU to SoFi stadium taking an hour and a half to get out of the stadium and forcing everyone one north when needed to go south then west. Streets were blocked and couldn’t turn west for 4 miles.
When the stands were 75% Steeler fans, I expected more.
