Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's.......vs Jets

Injuries and bad play did UH in...they were missing their starting RB, two starting LBs and their best CB....part of the problem of not being in a Power 5 conference...you can't recruit well enough to have enough reliable backups to cover for that many injuries. Who knows what would have happened....but we won't know this season unless a lot of miracles occur.

The Fake FG was a bad call take the points there. I said it was stupid in the game thread and I still think it was this morning..What was not stupid was the the 3rd and 15 draw call. Good call no need to force it there. Play field position and use one of your best players so far this year. Jordan Berry. He has been a huge weapon this year and there was nothing wrong with the call to be conservative and then let Berry win the field position back.

In general, the idea to do a fake FG there doesn't bother me. The play they called to do it seems to be the fly in the ointment on it.

In the grand scheme of things if you are going to go for it on that play, you do it with people like Ben, Bell, Brown, Williams and Coates on the field.

That I will agree with wholeheartedly. We.have way too many weapons and plays to line in FG formation and try to fool teams. Just go for it if you want to get the first. Or just kick it with Boz who is money..dumb call.

Lately, more like Kirkland. I'm not saying he can keep this level of play up, but he's lights out good recently.
 
having seen the D without Timmons in, you'd be a fool to take him out.
 
One benefit on going for it on a fake FG shows the league that your team is willing to fake it. It may create better situations and less kick rush on future FGs. We already have one blocked this year.
 
Hell just froze over cause i agree with coach, GOAT ball goes to Tomlin for the fake FG call.
