UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE! I'll say it.....I for one never thought the Steelers would pull a miracle out their ***** like they did today but they did it. Playoffs are still very much in play for our Steelers. WTF has this Defense been all season? Was it gameplan? Was it coaching? Steelers seemed to really do a better job covering the middle of the secondary today. Why can't our Defense be like this week in, week out? After the past 3 weeks seeing our Defense completely tank in the 4th QTR vs lesser teams. Will they move forward and use a similar gameplan vs other teams that try to line up speedy quick receivers in the slot? I'm happier than a pig in **** right now as I just hate the ******* *'s! I do think penalties and several *'s WR's dropping passes that really helped to kill the Patriots tonight....I've never seen that team more penalized in any game with them playing that I've watched. Our Defensive front line got good pressure the whole game vs Brady tonight.....Heyward, Hargrave & Tuitt really stepped up tonight. The team really needs to carry this into next week as the Saints will be on a short week as they play tomorrow night vs Carolina. Jaylen Samuels really surprised me with a great game tonight and it was really nice to see James Washington make a few nice catches tonight....I think he's starting to grow into his position as the #3 WR. Nice to see Eli Rogers make some catches early too as he caught all four targets. None of our WR's had lights out stats tonight but when they needed to step up and make a play they all did......Brown, Rogers, McDonald, Washington, Smith Schuster, James, Samuels. A complete team win. Lets enjoy this one and see what happens next week vs Saints.

Game Balls:
Jaylen Samuels - 19 carries for 142 yds & 2 rec for 30yds
Joe Haden - made some key tackles to prevent first downs and had the INT of Brady in the 4th QTR to turn the momentum of the game in our favor. 2 passes Defensed too
TJ Watt - gave the Cheats RT fits all game.....I think 2 holding penalties and a fasle start....Brady was in fear of TJ today.
O-line - Did a great job opening up holes for Samuels and gave Ben plenty of time back there today.
Heyward, Hargrave & Tuitt - Had good pressure on Brady all game.......really stepped up BIGLY today!

Game Goats:
Bud Dupree - 0 tackles - I know he was on the field most of the game today but when is Tomlin going to realize that Dupree doesn't belong as our starting ROLB? HE SUCKS!
Artie Burns - He blew that coverage on Hogan's 63yd TD catch. He's all but done as a Steeler IMO. He shouldn't be on the roster next season! Another 1st round bust.....Jones, Dupree, Burns.....all BUSTS!
Chris Boswell - This kid needs to figure out WTF is wrong.....is it mechanical? mental? Luckily he hit a 48yd'er at the end of the game to give us a 7 point lead but he's gotta get better.....59% accuracy this season on FG's in PATHETIC! I'm amazed he still on the team!

FU's:
To the *'s Owner, Coaches, Players, & Fans - Dynasty My A$$! **** YOU! If Time Travel was possible I'd take you all back to 1975 to play our Steelers in the AFCCG so you could see what a real NFL Dynasty is all about!

To me JaySam showed enough to be the 1 2 punch we needed with Conner.

Can’t recall.

Did we have nix in for any of those nice runs? I’m thinking no. I know I -form is a thing of the past but forth Q that should be our thing being up when able to run. Power there *** down. I missed those days seeing our Online, RBs say “it’s coming, try and stop it”

I think of all things, the rules / pussification / speed / etc. has near killed that attitude but I'm all for it.

Game goat: Definitely Bud Dupree. They were playing Chickilo at the end of the game.

I think a game ball should go to the refs as well. They called a lot of stuff that NE has gotten away with all season. And at very important times for us.

By the way.....since you mentioned the Steelers D being horrible in the last quarter of the last 3 games,I suggest you look at how many points our Offence has put up in the last half as well. Not being a Debbie downer here.....but fair is fair.

All in all I thought this was a great TEAM win.

Kudos to Samuels and Washington. On defense to Watt and Haden.

Random thoughts:
I thought we had way too many catches by NE where there was no one within 10 yards of the receiver. Our receivers were usually covered like a blanket.

Big Ben was Big Ben - solid game with 2 INTs. End of the first half I thought we should have called a timeout to give our O a little more time. As it was, we just kneeled to end the half.

Another wasted challenge but the referees were merciful and picked up the challenge flag but it should have been a fumble.

The key to the game was a barrage of penalties on NE.

Amazing play by NE to down the ball at our 1. When has our special teams ever made a play like that?

The only thing that really bothered me is that they knew when the slants were coming.

One of the best parts is that it was a serious body blow to the Pats* season. If Houston beats the Eagles next week they have a week 17 gimme to put the Pats* into the wildcard round and on the road in the divisional round.

I heard one of the NFL network guys say Hogan’s blown coverage wasn’t Burns fault. Burnett and Davis got mixed up and covered the same guy. One was supposed to cover the release under the coverage.

Sorry I know his field goal was huge and I'd like to think maybe it's a corner turned for him, but I really dont think so. Boz's earlier miss was inexcusable. He is a professional.

A couple of additions. I was screaming for us to get McDonald involved all game. He got the first TD and a critical 3rd down conversion late in the game. Why is it we go 5 wide and leave one of our best weapons on the sideline? McDonald is a legitimate threat for us in the middle of the field. Putting him out there when AB and Juju are working to get open gives Ben a monster safety valve.

RT position is a weak area for us. We had some early pressure and sacks on Ben with Feiler struggling over there. We needed to have JaySam chip or put a TE over there to help. DD helped on one play and a guy stunted around and got into Ben.

Playcalling - Holy **** we had 70 yards rushing in the first ******* quarter with Samuels. So what do we do in the 2nd quarter? 5 wide. God damn man we were gouging those ******** running the ball. Beat them over the head until they stop it and then you've got their safeties biting for play action.

What do they have against using Rosie Nix in the red zone? I don't give a **** if they know we're going to run if Nix is on the field. Run the ******* ball right at them. Nix is a great blocker for us and quite frankly he isn't used properly. He also has nice hands if we go play action and need to throw to him.

The defense held the Cheats to one TD on a busted play, the 3rd offensive play of the game. That's it. So there you have it. The talent on defense is there and has been there all along. We need to continue playing this way to push on this season. Why we can't do this every week is a mystery to all of us.

Really makes you further think it is scheme VS how they are playing these players. Not putting them in the best position to win.

Hopefully this game helped the coaches as well as the players.

Haden/Watt/Jaysam/fans get my game balls.

Boz just needs two nights with an Asian hooker. He'll be alright.

I'm going to give props to Mike Tomlin here. When he threw the challenge flag out for the fumble that was gifted with a whistle as forward progress. Tomlin knew that was not challengeable. Brady hustled his offense to the line and was ready to snap a quick play off to avoid any type of replay (even though the play was whistled dead).
The Steelers defense looked more unorganized than a Chinese Firedrill. The Pats could've hit a big play with the defense out of position and not set with appropriate personnel.

I among many here question his challenges. This was a great move. Also preserved a time out...

Based on the original ruling by the referee, it SHOULD have been able to be challenged. It wasn't until the ref changed the ruling on the field that it became non-challengable. If Mike thought the original ruling was not challengable, he was wrong.
