Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's...........vs Bungles......

Well this game summary is bittersweet. Hate to see the season end on a sour note but the reality of this season was Tomlin & the Steelers made this 2018 a sloppy, messy one that leaves you feeling empty and just wondering what should have been. Almost feels like the season came full circle starting with a tie and ending with us cheering for the team we tied to start the season ending in disappointment as Mayfield tossed an INT on 4th down. I think the Steelers with the cap room they will have from Bell leaving they should be able to get a quality Free Agent on Defense and hopefully a mid first round pick with a solid OLB or CB or both. In a season that saw Big Ben pass for over 5,000 yards becoming only the 7th QB in NFL History to do so all for naught because our Defense and Special Teams flat out SUCK! If anything comes of this season I hope Keith Butler gets canned and I'm ok with Danny Smith getting canned too! I'll say this if Marvin Lewis gets FIRED tomorrow.....and I'm the Steelers Front Office I HIRE HIM as our New DC on Tuesday. In closing I'll say this.....once again this week.....Officiating determined the outcome of a game......In the Browns vs Ravens game Lavar Jackson 4th & Goal on the 1yd line goes up and tries to extend the ball over the goal line.....his hand is hit before the ball crosses the plane and he fuimbled the football. Browns picked it up and ran it 99 yds for an apparent TD. Thanks to an inadvertent whistle the play was blown dead and it's can't be Challenged. Now what happened to the rule that the officials several years ago were going to let the plays play out and then review it after? Here we have another case of officiating in the game changing the final outcome of the game. It's really beginning to ruin the game we all love to watch!


Game Balls:
Ben Roethlisberger - 287 yds 1 TD 1 INT today. 5,129 passing yards for the season. 7th player to achieve 5,000 passing yds
Eli Rogers - 7 rec 57yds some key catches and 3rd down conversions
James Washington - 3 rec 64 yds hopefully he will continue to improve in the offseason
TJ Watt - 4 tackles 1 sack and 2 Forced Fumbles......I hope he keeps getting better & better in year 3
LJ Fort - Great job filling in for Vince Williams.....I'll say it now.....LJ Fort is a better, more versatile all around ILB than Vince Williams!.
Cam Heyward - 2 sacks today.....good season for Heyward but the Steelers still need another pass rusher on that Defensive Line in the 2019 NFL Draft!
Matt McCrane - 3 FG's today after being signed on Friday......hope he got the game ball!


Game Goats
:Keith Butler - He's probably still trying to game plan for Tyler Eifert this week! This guy seems as dumb as a box of rocks! I hope he get the boot this week! MARVIN LEWIS come back home!

FU's:
**** YOU to NFL Officiating this season.....you decided the outcome of too many games this season! No NFL Coach or NFL Player is going to call you out but the Zebras decided the outcome of too many damn games this season....last week @ New Orleans and today in Baltimore not to mention 4 weeks ago vs Chargers. NFL Officiating is ruining this game we all love!
Roger Goodell - **** YOU ROGER! GIVE US FULL-TIME NFL OFFICIALS! YOU HAVE RUINED THE NFL!
 
FU's to the head coach that couldn't coach this team to a playoff birth. One of his worst coaching seasons.

Ben thank you for giving us hope despite the dip-***** that hold you back.I have enjoyed your career in-spite of them.
 
The BIGGEST FU, needs to go to Art Rooney2. Because of the namesake Rooney Rule, he lacks the intestinal fortitude to let a deserving HC go. I for one am tired of hearing how the Steelers have only had 3 coaches since Moses started the NFL in 360BC. Just remember, only having 4 coaches in that time is far less than any other team.
 
Problem is the Browns players dropped the ball and never ran it into the end zone. Always always always run to the end zone
 
I watched the rats game and the rats got hosed on a call as well. They score a TD and get it called back by a horrible holding call. The guy hardly touches the guy and he sure isn't holding him. Also the rats are called for 10 penalties for 65 yards. The clowns just get 4 calls for 35 yards. I know Steeler fans only care about calls that go against what they want. But damn people everybody isn't out to get the Steelers.

Steelers have nobody to blame but themselves. And it starts with the coaches.
