I think this team is starting to come around into form and they are starting to look like the team we all had in mind before the season began. We have a pass defense now! And from what I've seen a pretty damn good one! I think Robert Golden had more passing yards in the game than Dalton did the entire second half! Really good job shutting down a pretty high power passing game. Dalton and the Bungles looked reborn under their new OC until this week vs Steelers. A little concerning seeing our Steelers unable to convert 3rd & 1 three times and a fourth & 1 once. They really need to hammer that **** out down the road! A total team win by the Steelers.....also only one penalty for five yards. My only other thought is that the Steelers really need to find more ways to keep Javon Hargrave on the field on Defense. The kid really helps collapse the pocket!!!

Game Balls:
LeVeon Bell - 192 all purpose yards 134 rushing 58 rec. I really love Bell but I wanna see Conner get some reps so we don't wear Bell out when we get to the playoffs
Ben Roethlisberger - Just another day....Ben was on today....224 yds & 2 TD's. A few receviers dropped some passes that should have been caught.....Vance McDonald comes to mind in the endzone....he needs to catch that.
Tyson Alualu - Stepped up today with Tuitt out and played a great game. Bungles O-line is pretty pathetic though but a good game for Alualu
Chris Boswell - 5 FG's a Heinz Field Record.....WTG BOZ!!!
Sean Davis - Stats might not show it but he is really developing into a damn fine Safety!

Game Goats:
Martavius Bryant - I'm telling you now I've seen no improvement in seven games and he really doesn't seem to be putting in the effort on every play either! I think after the BYE week we could very well see Juju Smith Schuster as our #2 WR. He certainly puts the effort in on every play.

FU's:
WHO DEY? WE DEY! WHO DEY? WE DEY!! WHO DEY? WE DEY!!! WE DEY BEAT DEM BUNGLES!!!
Vontaze BurfDefect - The guy should be SUSPENDED for kicking Roosevelt Nix while he was trying to stand up! He's a total ******* PUNK! I HATE THE GUY!!!

So much in agreement with the Bell statement. Please please switch more. The only issue is that we need him until Ben and the Wr and TEnpeoduce more.
 
Goat are the offense when the defense had three turn overs and a outstanding play by special teams and you gave them field goals. Steelers could have put the Bungals in a big hole and out of the game if TD was scored on at least one of the times. We have some good players on offense hard to get when we get inside the ten especially we come away with three to many times. Was a great showing beating the Bungals and defense played lights out in second half. Give big thumbs up to defensive coordinator by continued pressure on Dalton.
 
3rd down play calling was terrible. 3rd and less than a yard and we toss bombs. WTF.
And Bryant, my disappointment is growing with this dude.
 
They have to find a way to better utilize Bryant. Use on slants when they are 3rd and short. Quick outs. With his size and speed, they need to put him in better situations, higher percentage plays. The long pass is a low percentage play and I don't know if the end around is the proper play for him.

FUs.... Either the coaching staff/official crew who somehow mangaed to mismanage the clock costing us a crack at the endzone.
 
Bryant really needs to be used for quick slants and let him muscle his way into to space and make some big plays. Ben and Bryant just don't seem to be in sync in the long ball this year.

Conner needs to be used more often and on 3rd and short sounds like a good opportunity. He runs leaning forward and had a good burst of power. Give him the ball!

Personally I love the Marvin Lewis and Andy Dalton combination.

I agree about using him in better ways, but he doesn't seem to have the same speed he did pre-suspension. He isn't getting the same type of separation that he did a couple of years ago. I wonder if that extra muscle mass took away some speed?

I also have to question some of the third down plays. Watson in as the short-yardage back instead of Bell or Conner? No fullback? I don't mind taking deep shots in those situations, but I'd also like to see Ben take the safe first down.

Overall, no major complaints. Very good team win with all three phases playing well today. The fake punt call was excellent.

Love the Bryant - quick slant idea. In fact, try him in the slot on occasion. It's a strategy that certainly helped the Raiders pull Amari Cooper out of his funk.

Bryant hast to want to run quick slants, the guy doesn't look like he's trying half the time anymore, and he runs like a TE now it seems, that 15-20 lbs muscle he added slowed his *** down

Watt seemed to have his best game. Nix played a lot and did well blocking on O and made a couple special team tackles.

I'm going to defend Bryant, which is something I rarely do. His blocking is improving significantly. He's keeping in the pay and making blocks deep down field, to get extra yardage for our playmakers. If he keeps doing that, the rest of this game will open up and come to him.
 
Bell making kirkpatrick his ***** with that stiff arm was a thing of beauty. Dropped him like a bad habit
 
Really good overall game yesterday. Solid work by the offense, even with redzone issues. You generate 430 yards, with 0 turnovers and 1 penalty and put up 29 points, you did your job.

Defense was awesome after the Bungles 2nd TD. Just freaking awesome. Blew up the pocket, contested passes, generated 2 turnovers, took the running game away. Freaking awesome.

Agree that the Steelers should look at Conner as the 3rd and short guy, with Nix at FB. Conner hits the hole with AUTHORITY. Nix just blows people up.

Also, I do not mind throwing on 3rd and short where the defense has 9 guys stacked around the center. But how about a quick toss to the TE for the easy first, rather than a bomb?
