Make it three in a row and the third time is certainly not a charm! I've gotta say I'm completely numb after three weeks of losses all to teams in the AFC West and this loss to a 2-10 team is really difficult to accept.. Steelers always struggle in Oakland and today was no different. Going against the NFL's worst Defense with a total of 10 sacks all season and the worst Defense against the run....giving up over 150 yds per game. I'm sure alot of people will wonder why Ben didn't play tne 2nd half.....look no further than the two shots he took to his ribs on the final drive before halftime......I'll never question why he didn't go in earlier in the 2nd half.....only he knows how he feels. I will say this.....if anyone is responsible for this loss....look no further than Head Coach Mike Tomlin. 2nd & Goal for the Raiders on the final drive 1 min to go.....and Tomlin decides to let 30 seconds run off the clock instead of using one of his timeouts. Steelers could have certainly used that extra 30 seconds at the end of the game. Steelers front office really needs to start holding Mike Tomlin accountable for his teams piss poor performance vs sub .500 teams especially a team like this that was 2-10 this season. I hate to say it but I think the last 3 games of this season is just a formality. We are not beating the Cheats next Sunday and we have no chance vs the Saints in New Orleans two weeks from now. Brees will hang 50 on this Defense and so will Brady next week. I don't understand what this Defense is all about when you have a LB'er on a team's #1 WR. Edelman next week could have 200 yds if not more.....Bellicheat will line him up in the slot and Tomlin will try to cover him with a LB'er.....complete mis-match. So we are looking at 5 straight losses in the face right now and I don't see this team winning the division. One other question is why didn't we see Ola get any reps at OLB this week? It's not like Bud Dupree and Anthony Chickillo are anything special.


Game Balls:
Ben Roethlisberger - 25 for 29 282 yds 2 TD's......nothing you did cost us this game.
Juju Smith Schuster - 8 rec 130yds 2 TD's......almost went all the way on that final hook and ladder play.....wish ya did Juju.


Game Goats:
Chris Boswell - WTF has happened to him this season. He's become unreliable this season.....I cringe watching him come out for a FG....or even an extra point.
Bud Dupree - This guy is complete ******* GARBAGE! He better not be on this team next season!
Morgan Burnett - Another pickup that is HOT GARBAGE. Yeah he deflected a pass on the final drive but he should have Intercepted it.......Was burned too many times today.
Anthony Chickillo - We don't have anyone better than this bum as our #3 OLB?
Sean Davis - Another guy who has been complete garbage the last 4 games!
LJ Fort - Not even sure he's our #2 ILB....but if he is we are in big trouble because he's GARBAGE!
Jon Bostic - Another ******* guy who is complete garbage! Give me Matthew Thomas any day and twice on Sundays at ILB. At least his athleticism will stand out!


FU's:
**** YOU MIKE TOMLIN! You need to be held accountable for your actions....not using a Timeout on that final Raiders drive on 2nd & Goal and letting 30 seconds tick off the clock was crucial and cost us the game in the end! If you used one we still had one more! We ended that game with one TimeOut still at hand!
**** YOU JOEY PORTER! OLB Coach......You were a good player but our OLB'ers have never been worse! Dupree is a piece of garbage and we need a LB Coach who can make TJ Watt reach his full potential. After seeing you coach our LB'er for the past four seasons and see LB'ing corps get progressively worse year in, year out.....it's time for you to go! Buh-Bye Peezy!
 
I'd put Boswell and Butler in FUs. Otherwise spot on.
 
And I hate to say it, but I'm not impressed at all with Edmunds. I hope it's rookie jitters and he turns it around (like Polamalu), but so far he sucks.
 
Ben was running in place and stretching on sideline. He was probably testing HIS readiness to go back in. That’s in Anne, not coaches.

I was one of first ones to bring up Ben not being in the game. But this explanation makes a lot of sense to me.

Yeah Tomlin must have lied to protect Ben lulz.

No Tomlin again is just that stupid.
 
MT probably directed the trainers to give Ben a pill orally, because that’s what his mom always did, and it worked.
 
Ben finished out the half after the hit. Ben was fine to go back in the minute he came back out. They had 15 mins at halftime, then almost an entire half of football, that's an hour and a half real time, it doesn't take that ******* long

I like Charlie but that is a bunch of bullshit. He rarely blames Tomlin for anything in the post game show. It was thoughtful excuse, I will give him that.
If Ben got the pain killer right when he went in for the half, that should have been kicked in and ready to when he walked on the field after half.
Some of these excuses people come up with for Tomlin are incredible.

The linebackers are trash. The defensive line stinks. The entire defensive coaching staff needs to go and the pathetic secondary is the rotten cherry on top.

anybody that blames the offense should be stabbed in the head with an ice pick 30 or 40 times
 
Saint Joseph's aspirin fir children takes a little longer to kick in than the usual pain killer that the rest of the NFL uses.
 
The biggest goat, by far, is Boz and he better be fired today.

I am torn with Ben. He played great when in there. BUT, why the **** wasn't he in there the entire 2nd half when we needed him. As the team stated, this was a playoff game. He had no head injury and no other apparent injury that had him limping or throwing funny. So, what the **** was it? All we heard is it might have been his ribs. So, ******* what! If they're not broken, take a shot and get back out there and play. Don't wait until the end of the game and try to be a hero. Play the entire 2nd half and we win the game.
 
Reading back through some of the threads, if Tomlin held Ben out for no ******* reason, then he needs fired today as well. Once again, Tomlin also got burned by not having someone upstairs (like every other ******* team) to help with challenges. That early long catch by the Raiders hit the ground and the Raiders knew it. They ran down the field and got a quick play off. Tomlin had no clue and had no interest in overturning that play. 7 points later and we are losing. Dude is horrible at in game management.

You obviously haven't read what has been posted on the site how Tomlin held Ben out, but by all means continue on with your Ben agenda.
