This game almost gave me a FRIGGIN HEART ATTACK! I don't think I've ever been more discouraged by a Steeler team performance through almost 3 quarters of play in a long time. I expected the Steelers would come out and play motivated football in all three facets of the game as this was a REVENGE matchup vs the Jags after two losses at home last season. Jacksonville playing with a complete patchwork O-line with 4 backup linemen including their 4th starting Left Tackle Giants FIRST ROUND BUST Ereck Flowers. I figured we'd be able to pretty much shut them down on offense of at least keep their scoring to a minimum and last season the Steelers did put up some points on the Jags Defense....so I felt they had every reason to come home with a win here. For three quarters Ben and the offense looked like total dogshit....85 total yards through almost 3 Quarters of play. Seeing our Defensive Front 7 get absolutely blown off the line of scrimmage through 3 Quarters was absolutely disgraceful. Top it off with what was one of Ben's worst performances as a NFL pro through almost 3 Quarters. A complete **** game......UNTIL they were able to fight back from 16-0 and turn what looked like a sure fire loss into a WIN on the road vs a tough Jaguars team! What a resilient team effort by everyone in the 4th QTR to pull that one out of the *******! With the difficult schedule down the stretch this season a win like this could be a game changer for the rest of the regular season.....Onward & Upward STEELERS!!!

This game reminded me of one thing......"Steeler football is 60 minutes. It ain't gonna be pretty, throw style points out the window, but these guys will fight to the end and I tip my hat to each and every one of them!" (Mike Tomlin)

Game Balls:
JuJu Smith Schuster - 8 rec 104 yds including some clutch catches in the 4th QTR.
Javon Hargrave - 2 sacks today...played very well in limited play time.
Jordan Berry - 6 punts 51 yd avg and a long of 63.
Vance McDonald - Great TD catch in the 4th QTR

Game Goats:
Ben Roethlisberger - 3 INT's and without question one of the worst performances of his career. Road Ben was ugly today but I'll take the win!
Bud Dupree - You made Ereck Flowers look like a Future Hall of Famer today. If his performance today doesn't validate how pathetic Bud Dupree is as a LB'er in the NFL you must be blind or watching another game!
Tyson Alualu - Was constantly being blown off the line of scrimmage today....half his tackles were RB's tripping over his body as he got steamrolled all day
Jon Bostic, LJ Fort & Vince Williams - Gotta be better in run support....Jags RB's ran right through your feeble attempts to tackle them

FU's:
FU to Jalen Ramsey - He'd look good in Black n Gold but until he wears those colors I'll HATE HIM!

Oh also Ben had covered WRs and dropped balls to mix in with his bad early performance.

But he willed this team to a win, and no way does he deserve a game Goat.

An ugly win, is better then a pretty loss.

Enjoy and move on to the next game. 1 game at a time.

Little too early for the move on part, I am still enjoying the win.

Game balls to every player on the defense. They did get gashed in the run game but they kept the team alive.

Yards mean ****. they kept them out of the EZ except for once under duress.

Yeah, it wasn't just Ben. Receiver not turning around in time or dropping balls hurt, too. O was not in sync, which was weird to see after so long clicking.

game balls to the coaching staff. They adjusted at halftime and stopped the Jags run game. well done!!

Mine too but it goes to the Jags coaching staff

Game Balls
Jags coaching staff for not trying to throw the ball
Blake Bortles for being a sucky QB
Steelers defense for showing up and getting key stops especially at the end
JuJu making tough catches with the game on the line

Goat
Connor had 2 key drops and didnt have much going (some not his fault)
Dupree not taking advantage of a weak line

FUs
Jags defense just for being annoying and cocky. Glad we got the last laugh

I don't know if I could say game goat to Dupree. They threw 18 times. A third of those no one can get pressure. And then on the remaining 12 they gave help from the back on several. That left TJ and AlouAlou singled. They both got home. Ben has to take what is given. Against a team like this, checkdowns and crossers.

I'm giving a game ball to Watt. 2 Sacks, 2 FFs, 1 TFLs. He's a freakin monster!

Here, here!! I sarcastically called him out in Coach's "Where's Waldo/Heyward" thread. But he was on fire today. 10 sacks on the season makes him the first LB to record double digit sacks in a season since 2010 (Harrison and that dude from ttun).

As much as Ben was a goat in this one, he was also the biggest reason we won. He absolutely gets a game ball for his 4th quarter effort alone.

I don't know and there is a lot of the season left to go but I am getting THAT feeling about this team. They have played through adversity and a bunch of BS and are winning games like this one. This was HUGE to get that monkey of their back. If they beat the Cheatriots, I will have a real good feeling about this team, barring injuries.

Ben does not deserve a goat. Thats ridiculous! Without Ben's play in the 4th quarter there is no chance for a win today. Some drops especially the one by Connor could have been 6. This is the best pass defense in the NFL and although some int's early he didn't pull the chicken switch like most QB's would have done. This is what defines great QB's their ability to shake it off and lead their team to victory.

As much as I like the Ben to AB connection it is also a double edged sword in that Ben tires to force too much into AB hence the int's. This team badly misses that deep threat that Martavis brought to the team. Too bad he only has a 10 cent brain.

The coaching staff and specifically Tomlin had some great calls this game that I think some are overlooking.
-Accepting the holding penalty that would've resulted in 4th and short for the Jags and instead forced them to pass and ALMOST resulted in a huge turnover but still got a sack and changed field position. Ballsy call that most coaches wouldn't make.

-Not benching Ben like some arm chair coaches would've liked. The result speaks for itself. Ben is like a top 3 point shooter who misses 15 in a row but you still want him taking a 16th shot with the game on the line. If you haven't realized that by now, it's hopeless for you.

-Kicking deep with 2:30 left. Yes we had 3 timeouts but I've seen plenty of coaches onside kick there which would have given the O a much longer field to work with at the end.

-Seems like Butler made some adjustments to stop the run in the 2nd half. It's very refreshing to see some defensive adjustments the last few games and it was definitely a big reason the D was able to force 4 straight 3 and outs at the end.

-Time management is not always perfect but it nearly was today. The only blunder being the wasted timeout on the first drive and then calling a half assed QB sneak. But after that, the O had 2 extra possessions at the end of the first half and any time you score the winning points with less than 10 seconds left is a great thing. They seemed to handle the end of the game without panicking and calling a TO too quick which I've seen in the past. They still had another play from inside the 1 if Ben didn't get in on the last play due to having a TO in their pocket.
