Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's.............@ Bungles.....

Maybe it’s a sign?

I, I ...broke...my beer glass. She has been with me for almost 10 years, my favorite pint glass I stole from the bar. While her Guinness label has since faded years ago from all the hard work she put it, my dumb *** has dropped her and she is no more. I am at a loss. Time for a new I guess.

The offense has lots of problems, but Duck and MR are both playing with the same deck at this point. Same OL, same WR's, Same RB's, same OC...whatever you want to look at. Way too early to say Duck is the next thing or not, but he certainly looks more poised in the pocket than MR. Mason just looks like a deer in the headlights and he does not seem to learn from his mistakes. Duck isn't even supposed to be here so he has nothing to lose at this point so he can just let it rip. Its a small book (less than 2Q) but he did step around the pocket better. He got a big completion and he took care of the ball. MR made some terrible "throw aways" while Duck seemed to know how to throw over a receiver and out of bounds when the play breaks down. I can't believe MR didn't do that in college so he isn't new to the idea. I really think the stage is too big for him (thanks HCMT for that ism) at this point. I don't know if he can get past it or not. Duck...I'm not going to put a crown on him just yet. He was far from great so lets see what happens when teams get a little tape on him and game plan him.

Either way, I don't think MR or DH are the future heir to the throne. That guy isn't on the team yet.
Hard to tell what his issue is but that concussion did some sort of damage. He isn't seeing the field,is slow in his reads, and is inaccurate to boot. You hope as a fan that isn't his final chapter. But at the same this is a results driven league. Maybe some bench will shake off whatever ails him.Maybe it won't. Just have to play whomever is play the best right now. Hard to give perminate tags on anything. But one thing is for sure this club failed to replace the two stooges for whatever reason. JuJu returning will help but James unfortunately can't seem to stay healthy. In the off-season the club should think about upgrades at RB and a WR addition. And bring in a WR coach and ST coach, and an Oline coach. As the substitutes are struggling. And chewy's units are underwhelming outside of K/P.

Game balls to me and coach, the ONLY ones that could see Duck was the MAN at QB the Steelers needed for WEEKS

The rest of the sniveling apologists trying to climb on board now dont count, but we will let u ride along on the Duck! Train

I have spoken

I would have yanked Rudolph sooner. We have entered the Duck Dynasty. How long it lasts is anyone's guess. I hope until the end of the playoffs. Right now because of Duck we are in the playoffs. He's nearly 3-0 in the games thrown passes in. A pity in the OT game by a usually clutch WR

Also Boswell deserves a game ball.

As for the most important member of the Steelers, right now I would say Randy Fichtner. Yes, you heard that right. I was very impressed with Whyte and Cain Steeler debuts. These guys hit big plays and need to be features more often in the games to follow. . Fitchner also needs to call plays to Duck's strengths. Also mix in more screens to Big Al's side as he cannot pass block this year, and some play action once the ground game us going.

The playoffs is the goal.

Well if you don't want the duck to fail try not to pimp him so much as that would be the kiss of death.

No illusions here, I think Duck will make good and bad plays, However Rudloph makes next to no good plays and can't lead a drive for a toughdown. I also think the guys like playing with Duck. He's got some charisma. and that can help a rookie.

I was super impressed with Cain and Whyte. Our OC needs to wake the F up, and stop using the other guys who failed to impress and that includes James Conner. I suspect he will. Randy's not a dunce like Haley but he's not Bill Walsh either.

Let Whyte run it 10 times a game or more, and let Cain run the routes Byrant used to.. Suddenly we have a QB who can pass down field and TEAM SPEED, a weakness I pointed out at WR and RB at the start of the season.

I can understand by Whyte was under the radar playing at FAU. But Cain was a gamer at Clemson. Productive with size and speed. How he lasted until round six, and wasn't;t on a roster with eh Colts, I just don't know.

Conner just is struggling with injuries unfortunately too many of them. That has held him back as well as teams crowding the line. He would be a solid option if he could stay healthy.

How can you say that Conner failed to impress? Everytime he is healthy he is a star player for the O, be it running the ball, catching passes or blocking rushers

I think I read somewhere that Cain had dropping issues at Clemson, or maybe I heard it on the Tunch and Wolfe show. Anyways, I liked what I saw of very limited play from Cain today, I just hope he can keep it up because we desperately need a consistent deep threat.

I can see that.... he body caught that pass. A good catch but not shocking to hear of his past issues. But perhaps it isn't hard to show improvement over Johnny...

Randy Fitchner................................ Not most important but one of the most needed to go, along with Bubbles / Butler & CMVLTCOTY

Replaced by outside the organization

Salute the nation

**** YEAH!

I was deep into my second quart of whiskey when Duck took control of that game, I saw it all clearly, he the MAN!

LOL

I like to see Snell do well. He seems to be Bus-ish in that he gets better as he carries more.

While it's nice that Duck had 1 play that set him apart, keep in mind that was exactly what he had.
1 play.

Aside from the one deep pass that Washington (I get all the Washington pimping points - see I can do it too. ;-), Duck averaged just over 11 yards per pass (which is good. I can be happy with that.) And he was under %50 on completions.

Rudolph (without the big play) averaged over 10 yards per pass. (Again for Rudolph and Duck these are GOOD numbers.) and hi e was @ %50 completions.

So basically, they are ultimately carbon copies of one another. I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

Edit:

I was wrong. I was thinking the big play was 71 yards, not 79 yards. That means on his remaining throws Duck had a lower average than Rudolph. The truth is fellas, neither guy is good. You can go Duck crazy all you like, he didn't actually play any better than Rudolph at the end of the day.

But again, this should NOT be interpreted as me saying I love me some Rudolph. I'm just pointing out that they were both pretty mediocre. And that's being kind.

And that might also be heavily influenced by injuries and playcalling. I still am not really sure what we have in Mason let alone Duck. I do know it seems Mason is suffering some on field issues that stem from getting his cranium crunched.

I think it's attributable to his conditioning as well. I didn't see him winded out there.

Unpossible coach says he sucks and was a wasted pick.

It WAS indeed nice that Duck had that one play, because it was a gigantic, momentum-shifting moment. The Steelers probably lose this game without that one play.

You might want to refrain from continuing to pretend like that play never happened, because it did, and shouldn't be discounted.

And Rudolph didn't average 10 yards per pass, he had 85 yards on 16 attempts, which is a 5.3 YPA, and would put him at #33 of 33 qualifying quarterbacks.

It’s Duck Season!

Haden had a ****** up game. He was Alvoid Mays toast and then turned into shutdown Face Me Ike. Maybe he took a high tension dump at halftime.

Im going to keep saying it until he finally makes a play. Edmunds is a goat.

My fu's is Terrell Edmunds, he misses too many tackles, and he doesn't make enough plays on the ball.
