Gale Sayers has passed

Had it not been for injuries, or the limitations in treating them back then, he might have been considered arguably the greatest RB of all-time. Check out his YPA stats.

Barry Sanders. 5.0 yards per carry and a 2,000+ yard season, playing for a really bad football team who was almost never in the playoffs.

Saying who was the best is hard, I'm partial to Eric Dickerson. He has size, rare speed, and could catch it well. His prime however wasn't very long.

RIP Mr. Sayers. Might be time again to watch one of the great sports movies of all-time, Brian's Song. 2020 has truly sucked.

rip. It sucks when the good guys die, and so many knuckleheads carry on.

Yeah he would have been even greater than OJ. But still don’t think he would have eclipsed Jim Brown. No one has actually in reference to his impact to the game during his playing days. Gayle sure made it look easy when he ran though. Smooth and effortlessness in style.

Sayers is one of the first players I heard of from that era of football. Watching his highlights, he would thrive even today.

R.I.P and BLESSINGS to his family and friends. GOD speed

Salute the nation

Barry Sanders was he best of all time and Gale was a close second go back and watch tapes. Gale could make any defender miss if he had 1 chance o make a move.
