Murphy has to be called up to the roster to play Sunday. That hasn't happened. Looks like Ben will dress for the game.

They have until 4pm tomorrow and Tomlin said they will use every last minute before making a decision.

That would be a good move, to check and see if Ben's knee swells from the extra sessions this week. If it doesn't swell, I see Ben as the backup, otherwise it's smart to wait as late as possible to make a roster move, so other teams don't gain a benefit of snatching them up before their games.

Ben has been quoted repeatedly saying that Tomlin has told him that if he is healthy enough to dress as a backup, he is healthy enough to start. If this is true then either Landry's reps are a ruse or Ben will not dress.

If that is an accurate Tomlin quote then I'm wondering if the sky is falling because I agree with that point of view.

Put Vick on IR quick while he has an owwy and activate Murphy, no way Tomlin would do his boy like that though.

Steelers will promote QB/WR Tyler Murphy from practice squad today - another indication Big Ben unlikely to return til Week 8 ...according to La Canfora..he's only one reporting at the moment though.
