Anyone know anything about Okafor from AZ? PFF has him rated lower than JJ, for whatever that means. he had 1/2 the snaps last year.
 
I think guys like Barwin or Okafor are worth considering. Say we draft Harris or Lawson and Deebo gets injured. You want Moats staring while the rookie gets up to speed? I think Moats could be cut and we would be fine.

I think you're right. There's no way Hightower gets a big contract from us.

I'm just a bit worried about our depth and IL now. I don't think Willams (or many LB's) can match Timmon's durability and there's not much behind him.

I agree Timmons never missed games, but hopefully we use Shazier as the only ILB that plays on passing downs, I'd rather pull Williams off and use 3DL-3LBs(as long as 92 rushes the passer almost exclusively on passing downs)-5DBs.

Couldn't agree more , a rookie rover safety could be that 5th db that complements that 3-3 front. While we would still need an olb and a cb.

At least one of these three positions should be addressed in FA
 
We don't use a 3 anything front on 3rd downs. 2 DL is all they typically use on 3rd downs unless it's 3rd and short.

Zach Brown, Connor Barwin and a rb and I'm all set. Maybe a slot corner too.
 
I would not give up a 1st rounder plus a Stephon Gilmore contract to get Butler. That's just dumb. We could have signed Gilmore or Bouye without giving up a 1st rounder.

I would've rather signed one of those guys as well, but we didn't, so the only way to get a top CB would be that way.
We sat on our hands while the team that embarrassed our defense added another TE, will have Gronk back, and added a very good wr.

Want some cheese Tom ? Why would you think a team that you have followed would suddenly change how they do things...this team has done what they do over and over again for years ...they don't care about Ben's 2 year window...I used to get pissed about it like you continue to...but damn I'm over it...they are gonna do what they are gonna do

Well I hoped the fact they get their ***** handed to them every time by the Pats, and their franchise qb will be retiring soon would kick them in the *** to try to win now. I'm not losing any sleep over it, I'm used to it as well, but I'll still ***** about it

Well they kicked our *** without Gronk, but I didnt mention losing Bennett because I think they upgraded slightly with Allen.

Allen isn't in the same realm as Bennett. Good player though but he did just lose his job to Jack Doyle
