Former Steeler Ryan Harris on Tomlin and the culture

I answered as a team because the team is 3 pieces. The discrepancy on the D has an effect on the overall team talent. Regardless of how much more talented our offense was, our offense was going against their talented Defense not their lack of offense. Our D was about as inept as their normal offense. We had some talent on D, but we still lost our 1st and 2nd string ILB in one game. That left a big hole in the middle and VW play was worse from that point on. Everyone seemed to play worse, at times. ST would, probably be a wash with an edge to jax,

That really leaves their D to compare to our O.

I actually appreciate that response. I don't disagree with you on that. However the Steelers were favorites. They played at home against a team almost everyone thought we should beat. I understand they had good defense but we had a great offense that still scored 40+ points. The two weeks prior they score 10 points against Buffalo and 10 points against Tenn.

I understand that you don't want to talk about overall talent because it doesn't fit your argument. So you just want to focus on one aspect. This is what you said before the game.

Thanks for proving my point. -2 turnover ratio and we lost the game. Why? Because JAX's Defense was BETTER.

Football is a great game with a ton of variables, that game was we gave JAX too many short fields and couldn't stop the run. Game over.

Whoever you want to blame those turnovers on is up to you.

It wasn't just the TOs. There is more to the game than just TOs. Why couldn't a defense filled with 1st and 2nd round draft picks stop an offense that had scored a combined 20 points the two weeks prior? That's coaching not just TOs.

Our offense had 550+ yards and 42 points, that should be more than enough for any defense in the NFL to beat Jacksonville.

It should be, it you don't spot the other team 2TDs and give them massive return yardage in special teams. It's a 3 phase game, and the Steelers soundly lost in 2 phases of that game.

They spotted them one TD, the other turnover doesn't automatically mean you have to allow them to score.
My issue is, the Jags ran a ton the first meeting, they are a running team, everyone know that, yet our best run stuffer Hargrave played only 38% of the snaps, that means a ton of 2 DL sets, that's inexcusable against that offense

You're forgetting Ivory averaged 5ypc carry in that game. You can't just take that play away, it happened, but lets take it away, they still ran for 127 yards without that run.
Still the point is the same, everyone knew they were going to come in and run the ball, yet we only use our true NT on 38% of the downs, meaning we played alot of 2 DLinemen of course. Idiotic vs a running team.

Two thought while watching that game. Our coaches are stupid, and Tomlin won't address the issue after the game.

I really wish a person like yourself could get a press pass and grill Tomlin for this never ending stupidity. .

Coach, do something original and show your work. You love having people do the research for you. So sad....you can’t support your own statements.

How about you list the names of the players who have “officially” in the press, or on their social media accounts, specifically “taken shots” at Tomlin. I’ve already answered about the players you listed and debunked them.

If you felt the article was more for the political form why did you post it in the Steelers form? Your act of agenda pushing is so tired.

My education for the day? From you? Hahahahahahaha.... The only thing you can teach me is additional symptomology for individuals with narcissistic traits.

Dude, enclosed is a box of tissues. Please wipe the feces off your nose. You are approaching king brown noser status here.

The question was how many current head coaches are taking more shots from x players, not whether you " think " they are valid. The answer is none, Tomlin leads the pack in this dubious category.

A box no doubt from the large stash you keep for yourself. I’m sure you keep up with all 32 teams former player comments to coaches. The hyper focus you have with one head coach isn’t the barometer you think you have with the other 31. Even Belicheat has his detractors in Mass hole land. Not many, but there are.

Brown nose status? I’ve got plenty to blame Tomlin for, but players play, coaches coach. Mistakes on the field by players far out weigh coach lapses during a game. Unlike you I don’t pretend to think I could do the job, I know it takes more than what I currently know to perform at that level. Your Pop Warner level of experience couldn’t hold a first down marker at a HS game.

And hey, thanks for replying at just a shade over a week from when I posted. Did your ISP or cell provider switch off your account for some reason?

Coach, to your point, my enduring memories of that game are Tomlin's mouth agape and eyes bugging out after the last Jags TD that broke the team's back, and Fouts' Lombardi-like "What the Hell is Goin' on out here?!" commentary when Tomlin made the ridiculous onside kick decision. I honestly think Fouts held back from going after Tomlin as much as he wanted. He was shocked at that decision. And Fouts had already picked up on Shades' atrocious game management from previous games as an analyst.
