He confirmed on his Twitter that he was in Pittsburgh yesterday for a visit. On to SD and Buffalo when he leaves town.

Boston was just released by the Panthers.

I'm not sure if this is still the case but usually if he isn't offered a contract or hasn't signed when leaving town, the ODD's are he won't be a STEELERs player. Maybe I'm thinking of a specific player the STEELERS made him aware if you don't sign the offer is off the table. In any event I'm glad they had a look which means they are looking. Don't know if Mitchell will get upended, but that wouldn't be such a bad thing if that occured.

I think Mitchell will be upended when we draft high a FS (next year with a TE ?)

I think Boston would be depth with the team losing Sham not so wow in the off-season.

Called it first in the FA thread a couple of days ago

Mitchell is a FA I believe.

Mitchell is in the last year of his deal this year, looking under rocks for a replacement is not a bad idea. Boston greatly underwhelmed last year down here in Carolina, they were quite unimpressed with his step backwards. I think he feels he is worth more than his play has shown him to be worth, that being said SD will likely sign him.

I'd like to take a look at Bacarri Rambo as a depth signing if he is still available. I think he'd be better than Golden or the recently departed Shamarko Thomas. He could be a potential stop gap as well if we draft the playmaking CF safety next year that we so desperately need.

I think Dangerfield could develop into solid depth as well, he showed nice potential in his limited time last year.

They are looking for someone who can play that third safety role and replace Williams I believe.

well, saw him as a good fit to be part of the S rotation

I was just giving yaz a little ch--t. You have a good eye as I'm in the boat of getting him if conditions are right.
