For you youngsters and others who believe ANY QB from this era can be GOAT

I hate Brady with a passion but you can’t deny he would be great in any era. He’s not small. I think he’s 6’4” and at least 220lbs. That’s a touch smaller than Ben.

brady is a crybaby and would not have survived in the 70s or 80s.....the boy hates to be hit

I’ve seen Brady headbutt guys before. He even has to his own teammates to get them fired up. He may complain to the officials to draw penalties but he certainly isn’t a *****.

There is a big difference from head butting and getting head butted. BR*DY would NOT have survived the 70s or 80s for that matter. I could just see Jack Lambert after he found out about the Uggs and then made an example of him on the field of play. Whoever thinks br*dy is a tough SOB is mistaken. He is probably tough compared to many here on this board but not in reality cause the players are a hell of a lot tougher on the field than here on the board.

Salute the nation

I don’t buy it. I’m not saying Brady is the toughest QB around but he would have had success in any decade. Using the logic you guys are using most QBs of today wouldn’t “survive” the 70s. You think someone the size of Dree Brees would do well? What about Peyton Manning? He didn’t like getting hit but he was still a tremendous QB and I think that translates to any era.

I haven't seen Bart Starr mentioned at all. Im not saying he was GOAT but he was a force.

He's not better than Otto Graham. Graham is the GOAT.

And yes Brady is a *****. Everytime he gets his leg brushed, he cries to the refs. Every time he gets hit, he gets less accurate. He hits the ground 4 times in a game, and he stops playing.

If he played against LT, he'd be out of the league in 3 years.

I can easily deny it. Brady lives on these quick rhythm passes that were impossible to complete without the WR getting killed prior to the mid 80s. Then into the 90s you could complete them but your WRs would get beat up.

I think he's a product of the modern relaxed pass rules where DBs can't touch receivers. He'd be a journeyman in previous eras.

Oddly enough, of today's QB, i think Cam Newton would actually be better if he played in the 80s.

Taylor was dominating.

Chewed up and spit out. No amount if cheating would save him from getting his *** handed to him.

You can't cheat forearms to the head, horsecollar tackles, players intentionally going for the knees/ankles and clothesline tackles. All that **** was legal back then.

I still haven't seen Brady play a game with a Broken nose, or injured knee, or broken thumb on his throwing hand. Ben has. Brady is a *****.

Guys from that generation may have been tougher but the athletes on the field today are Bigger Stronger AND faster which is a fact that needs to be considered.
either way Ben> Bradshaw.

Cam Newton would have been better as a runningback in either era.

Even arch-rivals Roger Stabauch and Ken Stabler would be better than almost QB today.
Which of today's QB's could play in the 60's and 70's? Ben, the Mannings, Andrew Luck, and Aaron Rogers, that's all I got.

Luck is an over hyped *****.....but I think you could add Cam Newton to your list....

Sorry...no such thing as a "Brown" GOAT.

Myth..kind of like the unicorn.

I guess I wasn't too far off with my Starr suggestion...from Wiki.

Starr has the highest postseason passer rating (104.8)[2]*of any quarterback in NFL history and a postseason record of 9–1. His career completion percentage of 57.4 was an NFL best when he retired in 1972.[3]*Starr also held the Packers' franchise record for games played (196) for 32 years, through the 2003 season.[3]

Post #27 confirms that Brady is in fact a *****

What does it matter when they aren't allowed to touch the QB.

They could be T2000's from Terminator and it still wouldn't mean jack. I can think of a dozen "popcorn muscle" offensive players from this generation (not just QB's) who wouldn't last through one game from back in the day.

You're right Elfie, how do you think TO would handle the Raiders taking head shots at him after the play. He wouldn't last a game in Swann's shoes!

A T2000 would play through any era though
