First game in over a decade that I won't watch...

New Drinking Game

My wife and I were joking that we should do a shot for every score the Pats make this week. We'll either die of alcohol poisoning or run out of booze.

I have missed zero games on purpose in my life. missed to games that I recall. bengals game in 2003 due to hurricane and bengals playoff game in 2005. power outage. I did get to see the final quarter of 2005 game. how anyone ever can purposely miss a game is beyond me.

Family obligations man. When me and the Mrs didn't have our son. It was easier to take in sundays. Sports are entertainment for me. Support them yes. But I don't feel I need to watch every game just because. Do I try to? Yes. But sometimes family likes to do other things besides watching sports. That's why I like to frequent here cause you guys are a lot more passionate about the Steelers than the norm. Whenever I miss something cause I couldn't watch. This is the place to check in. Plans are on for a cookout with the family and watch the game this sunday. Win or lose. Always a Steelers fan. Not gonna quit on the team just cause they lost the QB etc

I'll miss it because Ill be at a conference all day Sunday and Monday. Recording it though. If they get crushed then i'll delete it :D

I'll watch. If the Steelers get crushed. Well just going to drink a lot :)

Just not going to put myself through it.

Why?

Answer: why would I? I know what it looks like to have Brady and the Pats kick the snot out of the Steelers so why would I?

We don't have half our team, our defense is built to lose to the Pats, and honestly don't feel like having a smudge on what looks to be a nice fall Sunday by watching the Steelers inevitably lose.

Here's to a fresh restart to the season after the bye with a team that has a passing resemblance to what this team is supposed to look like.

Flame all you want, but we all know how this ends.

If you're that certain lay down a huge bet on the Pats - the Steelers are only getting 7.5 points.

For some of you fair weather fans you should take note of this. The STEELERS are the most winning franchise since the merger, in the NFL. That means you have viewed them WINNING mor than losing !!!!! If you can't stomach a loss or in most cases currently, the perceived loss that we are about to face, then don't watch. Pretty simple. Myself I have to watch because there is no other option. If there was a MAJOR thing of course I can miss but that is very very very rare. I have definitely lost all interest in the rest of the NFL but the STEELERS are my only passion, when it comes to the nfl. It's been said before so I'll say it again "THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST, MOST INFORMATIVE, COMRODERYATIVE, SITE IN THE WORLD." I thank each and everyone of you members for your contribution. Yes even the likes of POPs / TWEEK / and dear coach along with many others. I know there is flame to be had but I am still one of the few who think we can win this up coming game. Against all odds, I still think it is doable. Again thank you to all the people who keep / maintain / contribute / to the operation of this site.!!!!!!!!!

I know we are going to get clobbered, but I'm going to watch the whole game. If nothing else but to see Tombert's personnel decisions of the past few years ((or lack there of) get exposed on national TV. Maybe then some changes might be made.

I made my decision when ticket sales went out that I'd got to the New England game... and I'm taking my brother the Pats fan and my 2 nephews (Steelers fans). Can't back out now, but my enthusiasm is severely diminished.

We're also 2-8 versus Belicheat and the Pats**** and they hung 55 on us and a record amount of yardage a couple years ago when our defense was arguably better.

And they always cheat too

I will watch. I don't expect much without so many of our key players. Managing expectations is the key.

That was in 2004. They beat our boys that year in the afccg(cheating of course), 2007(Anthony Smith guaranteeing a victory), 2011, 2015

That, and we can ***** about Tomlin and Colbert's failure to draft much talent on defense. Not even going to blame Butler much, since like LeBeau's later years he doesn't have a lot to work with.

Maybe the only positive is it will show the deficits this team has due to talent evaluation.........or lack thereof

unless I miss it because of work like the past two weeks.....I always watch. glued to the tv even if we get our ***** kicked. nothing better than Black and gold play.

They got to the Super Bowl three times in six years and won two, but every time someone else took out the Pats****. Lebeau's kryptonite. Besides cheating, what they do best (short passes) is what the Steelers defend worst (short passes).
