Round 1: DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss I’ve seen multiple mocks with the Steelers taking Greedy Williams, I have mocked Byron Murphy to the Steelers before, Devin Bush won’t last, and Safety isn’t enough of a need for Darnell Savage. But there have been reports of a DK Metcalf slide to the latter end of […]

Interesting.

I don't like Metcalf at 1.20 - he's a big Mike Wallace; AJ Brown may not have the speed, he's the better WR out of the two - and he still wouldn't be my choice at 1.20...I find it very hard to believe that Mack Wilson falls that far, but anything could happen...

I'd actually be really happy with the no trade draft if it fell that way.

Very good. As if I called many of the picks. One thing. No f’n way should the Steelers draft a running back in round three.

If they don't get Bush at 20, a safety to play dimebacker might be the biggest need for the Steelers. If Bush is gone by 20, I'd consider trading back.
The first team I would call are the Colts. I'd give up 20 for their 2 second round picks. At second pick of round 2 you could take Savage and pick
up best CB available with the second 1. Savage plus someone like Julian Love > who we can take at 20 if it isn't one of the top ILB's.
Philly also has 2 2nds, but not a high one.

You’re giving him a compliment as Wallace was a very good player on the Steelers. Then he sunk his career and took the money on Miami, stuck with a poor deep ball passer. When Wallace’s career ends he could have 10,000 total yards rushing and reviving.

The key is what could Metcalf do with Ben and our Ol. He’s got very good size and I think could run a few Tight End Routes in addition to being a back breaking type of deep threat. With that size and speed who can cover him? And who can jam him? DB’s will be backing off big time.

Metcalf was tearing the SEC a new one last season, then got hurt. His college Qb was very mediocre.

I want him second after Greedy Williams.

Metcalf actually reminds me of Moncreif coming out of college. Even played for same team. Moncreif ran a 4.35 on 2nd 40 yard dash run at combine.

The big difference is Moncreif was much more productive in college. 156 receptions, 2,371 yds, 20 tds
Metcalf 67 receptions, 1,228 yds, 14 tds Metcalf averaged 3 catches a game in his 21 game college career.

Can't see Winovich falling to #52, but strange things happen.

N'Keal Harry from ASU was on a local radio show today, and said while he would like to go on day one, but he won't be slipping past #33. If this was said in confidence to him, he just told the world the Cards plan.

If the Steelers want Chase they probably would have to trade up in 2.
