Film Study: Should Josh Dobbs suit up Sunday?

Sorry Berm but I go with the proven in this PLAY OFF case where you lose you're out scenario, maybe regular season but not playoff season.

Definitely. What program are you guys using where you can snag film and provide commentary? I am going to eventually get up to speed. But good to see yet another Steelernation fanatic breaking down film. That is one unique feature most message boards don't have.

Why not just give Dobbs the helmet and let Rudolph sit it out. If we lose Ben we’re done either way.

Dobbs run also put Steelers in FG range after 8 yard loss on sack at end of half.

I’m for him playing if only for QB sneaks. But not as major contributor.

Yeah...take the ball out of your best player's hands. And now there is tape on what we did. Do you think the Browns will be caught flat-footed again? And if Ben gets knocked out early say with a concussion. We stand a better chance with Mason than with Dobbs short term. In my opinion anyway.

I'm NOT saying he is a HS QB. But you said sit Rudolf and suit up DOBBs. Well if BEN went down on 1st play of game, you'd have DOBBs playing the whole game.

I think if the team felt Dobb's trickery was worth the roster spot they would suit him up. I'm pretty sure they are NOT sitting Rudolf based on the trickery of the DOBBs play.

You can do it a few ways. I have a mac and use screenshot to record film. I then have all my plays lined up in multiple tabs and rotate through them as I go. I can also use Quicktime at the same time to show my face as I break down film, I just line that box up in the top or bottom corner of what I'm recording.

Screenshot allows you to set the box for recording, which I like a lot.

FSF do you use a different program? This breakdown was very fluid between plays. You get this with switching tabs or post processing.

I hate post processing, So I try to do it all in real time.

I’m experimenting with different methods, with this recent one I paused recording after viewing plays.
