By: Bill Washinski SteelerNation.com   It’s not exactly breaking news to say the Pittsburgh Steelers offense isn’t firing on all cylinders as they prepare to face the Cleveland Browns in the playoffs for the 3rd time on Sunday night. The low-hanging fruit of the obvious has provided a lot of fodder for the “experts” who […]

Dobbs would help the Steelers have a better chance to win.

If even for a few plays to keep the Browns guessing, give him a chance. We know Ben isn’t going to outrun anyone

Predictable. Until.....he’s in there on a second and one and the whole world expects a run and he hits a bomb downfield. I say dress him.

Or they expect it and that bomb turns into a INT. He can pump fake and run I am ok with that.

Who's gonna sit to give him a hat? Are you going with 3 QB's, because if Ben goes down, I want Rudolph slinging it like last week!
!

Without reading the whole thread - yes. He brings a different skillset that needs to be accounted for.

As a matter of fact, I leave him out until next week. I believe Ben can beat the Browns, at QB, by himself - it will be the other teams (i.e. Bills) who we need to show them something different...

all this talk over a guy with 17 career passing attempts who ran the ball twice for 20 yards vs Cleveland in a meaningless game.

Based on what? The guy hasn't taken the field all year and now you wanna resort to trickery?

I assume you've been following the Steelers for years and there is NO WAY IN HELL they change things up on the eve of the playoffs....

I suggested it a month ago.

Even just for QB sneaks.

I would never have if our running game wasn’t the worst it’s been in the post merger era.

When Walter Abercrombie and Earnest Jackson are more productive, you’re got troubles.

Rudy sits. No need for 3 QB's.

And if Ben goes down, you'd want Dobbs? Not me! I'll take Rudy. He almost beat their ***** the first game. I think he would be even better the 2nd. Not sure if Dobbs took any 1st string snaps all year and what receivers he has worked with. We know Rudy has!

If Dobbs was so good he would have beaten Rudolf out for the #2. Why would you bench your best back up in hopes he is successful an a couple of plays if they even call them???

Sorry Berm but I go with the proven in this PLAY OFF case where you lose you're out scenario, maybe regular season but not playoff season.

I agree. Everytime Ben completes a deep pass Fichtner should run Dobbs out there. Hell it worked last week with Mason. Right?

It did on final drive. In fact...Browns DL was caught in no mans land on consecutive plays to get ball to the 2 and it was due to uncertainty of how to defend it the handoff.

Dobbs run also put Steelers in FG range after 8 yard loss on sack at end of half.

I’m for him playing if only for QB sneaks. But not as major contributor.

Don't act like Dobbs is a HS QB. I'm not suggesting he play the whole game but dress him and put him in for a few plays, against the Bills, and see how they adjust...
