Ever been to a Steelers-Rats game in Baltimore? LOL
Seriously, if this is an accurate description of what happened the jagoff that threw a punch from behind then sucker punched him needed to get his *** seriously beat.
In a tie game with the clock running out EVERYBODY is standing.
I'm betting some douche sold his ticket and when they find out who it is the offender could catch a 2nd Degree Assault charge at a minimum and the seat owner will lose his privilege.

Times have changed and bad behavior isn't tolerated at the stadium and can get you in a lot of expensive trouble.
"Back in the day" we used to get into it with the Brownies fans at TRS. We 20 somethings out of our minds with the Steelers winning slwoB repuS, some of us just out of the service. Ahhh dem '70's, we would beat the snot out of the Clowns fans and the ushers would look the other way! The only time they said something is if you threw somebody down the steps!
LOL

Or tried to throw them over the railing...
Now thems were the good ole days. I came home from many a Stiller game with blood all over my car seat and clothes not to mention the piss all over the side of my van. Yeah, back from the service, money in my pocket and drunk as two peckered billy goat lookin' to kick somebody's ***.

whew, crazy times when you're young and dumb.

BTW..I'm glad I'm not the only fossil on this site bigtwnvin.....LOL

That fight happened right behind me. Almost missed the end of the game. I f you watch the full video, I'm the guy in row in front of the black dude with the black leather jacket, yellow shirt, and gray hoodie over my head. Anyway, a few things from my point of view. I didn't see who threw the first punch but it wasn't as one sided as it looked in the video. The white guy had a bloody lip. And I didn't blame him for doing what he did. Surprisingly at a time like that, nobody was standing at that time except the black guy and the white guy asked him to sit down and he refused and it just escalated from there. And at one point, the black guy was telling the white guy to come in the bathroom with him. And, all he had to do was move to his left a couple seats, which were empty, and he wouldn't have been blocking anyone but again he refused. Security took for ever to get there, must've been watching the game. They briefly got into it a second time before anyone arrived.

And a few more things....the black dude was NOT a Steeler fan. His girl was but not him, he was a Cowboys fan that was for some reason wearing a Pittsburgh, not Steelers just generic Pittsburgh, hat and scarf to blend in I guess. And he was annoying me the WHOLE game, swearing like crazy and talking **** about the team. I'm not proud cause it should never happen at a game, but I was happy when it happened and if you watch the full video with audio, you can hear me say "**** YEAH " when it started. Again, something like this should NEVER happen at a game!

I saw this briefly on the news yesterday and it seemed like the black guy was standing at the end of the game and the guy behind him started wailing on him for no reason. Thanks for shedding some light on this, 36bus36. Stuff like that shouldn't happen, regardless who started it or what happened. It's ugly and a black eye for the Steelers.

Fossils?? Well, yes I guess we are fossils. These days the weenies whip out an IPhone and start recording when it gets heated. "Back in the Day" if a pain in the *** wouldn't get with the program or got mouthy somebody would say STFU. Anything after that was a declaration of war. And drunken potty mouth around women and kids? They tolerate it for crissakes! That alone is grounds for an *** beating!

PC almost got me in a fight at a Jags game in J-ville,

I don't see how it's a black eye for the Steelers. This happens at every stadium in the NFL every week. Videos pour out on social media every week.

Maybe black eye is too strong of a term, but it still doesn't look good for security.

Yeah, security sucks at Heinz Field. I was in a brawl at the 2014 AFC wild card game and they ended up tossing my buddy out and didn't even get the man who assulted me.

Last year I text them about saying something to some Patriots fans who wouldn't stop being ********. I got a text back saying they checked on it, but they never came up.

I was always good at heckling the hecklers. Bar I went to in Apopka, ******** wouldn't want to stay. As we showed them we could be even bigger ********.

I have something for anyone who wants to come at the Steelers.

I can go round n round the whole day if need be!

I will counter this with several incidents in our section or the section next to me where security arrived within a short period of time after contacted. I will say the ushers aren't always proactive in monitoring the stands to contact security, but when the fans have, they've responded quickly.

I tend to think it's fairly common too. Especially with booze.
Sports can be frickin emotional for fans too.

The Pens 2015-2016 cup run and the Steelers/Bengals playoff game a couple years ago. If I was at the event, my mouth would've gotten me in trouble.

I've relaxed a ton with sports viewing now lol.
But with social media. I see a lot of the fights on twitter/instagam/youtube.

Never seen anything when I went to UGA.
But I'm way more than sure there were fights

The number one reason I do not drink and do sporting events. It's very rare when I drink anyway. I don't have much tolerance for asshats in general and if you give me a few shots of tequila that drops to zero. I gave up going to sports bars that are not Steeler bars. It's better to be clear headed and calm in a hostile situation.

Well ,an old one maybe, but not so much anymore.
Is that you Issac Hayes?

I hear that......a fight involving me nowadays would have to include an intermission and a nap.

Suprising to see this at Heinz field. been to so many games and from what i have seen people act more respectable than any other stadium I've been too. I thought I was going to get killed in baltimore the year Santonio Holmes fell over the goal line to win the game. Luckily we happened to be in the lower section 8 rows from the field.
I would never go to a game in philly although it is an hour from my house. They are probably the most notorious for no class loser fans starting fights.
