Fichtner

I don't think we are talking major coarse changing but adjustments here and there,........ Happens all the time for other teams but for some reason our coaching staff doesn't / hasn/t / & won/t do it. It's like huh.....what........... Square fit round.

I think it's because they can't figure out how to make changes. Nothing new that's for sure.

Everything is so regimented and so rigid in how schemes are taught to a team, starting that very first day of camp I think they just wouldn't know where to start trying to swim back upstream.

That's where Bubby was good. He'd draw plays in the huddle with a stick in the dirt. Merrill Hoge actually said that on his radio show back in the day. Come to think, that would be a way to beat Belicheat.

If this is true, then definately a time for coaching change. When the HOF QB retires, this current coach is going to have losing sesaons.

Generally speaking the longer an employee is with a job the more complacent in that job the employee becomes

The down side of stability, MT is so damn complacent that he can’t even comprehend trying to change

After all, the standard is the standard.., nothing will change until he is gone have fun reliving the 80s because we dwell In mediocrity until he departs

To be honest Fichtner did not have a lot to work with. He had to deal with new QB and then a non drafted QB. The receivers were sub par in route running with no confidencey and the O line did not do a good job of blocking. The running backs were different each week it seemed, and none really stood out. We have no TE's that were play makers which all made less than average offense.

You're exactly right. We're not talking about changing the offensive scheme, it's about making adjustments. Where the coaches have gone wrong is drafting the personnel that they did in Rudolf, Dobbs, and Duck. How many years did they piss away on Landry Jones? At least Cowher was smart enough to have guys like Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch backing up Ben. And when the big man goes down, you have young guys forced into an offense with a restricted playbook, and that equals disaster.

Last point, WTF are they sending Zach Banner on passing routes? I can understand if they're doing it to keep the defense honest and not selling out on the run when he goes into the huddle. But they're lining him up in the SLOT. Not at TE, Not as a 4 back or FB, the slot. stupid stupid stupid.

Fichner sucks.
