Fichtner: Throws were there, Rudolph didn’t make them ?

Mason was 12-14 on plays at or behind the line of scrimmage and 2-13 on passes more than a yard downfield.

They were playing 8 men in the box, where were the play action passes to vut =down on the run blitzes and make them pay for selling out ?
HCMT has shown 31 other teams his ineptness at making the necessary adjustments during games. That’s why.

It seemed to me that, particularly in the first half, Rudolph threw to the primary target on most plays and did not check down.
I saw a lot of wide open guys on the check downs in the first half. That I think is an experience thing and he will get better at this
as the season goes along.

Not sure what you're talking about but according to AB, he was open on every play and we know Ben didn't throw it to him on every down. So, that's a lot of misses right there. LOL

Watch OBJ this season - maybe another AB meltdown in the making. Against the rats yesterday - 7 targets / 2 catches for 20 years. Landry stole the show. OBJ was open on EVERY play. Just ax him. Howcome only 7 targets?

First off, Ben never "Threw anyone under the bus". He said AB should have run a more shallow route in the EZ in response to the fact that the DB was all over him and if he HAD gotten the ball past the D-Lineman who got it, it likely would have been knocked down or intercepted by said DB. In response to THAT, he said AB was supposed to run a shallower route and that would have rubbed the DB. But he CONTINUED on to say, 'But I never should have thrown that ball, it was a terrible throw on my part."

Nobody pays ANY attention to that part. They just focus on him saying, hey, the DB was there because he didn't get rubbed as the play called for.

As for Washington, he said "A guy's got to make those catches." In response to Washington's numerous drops during the season. He wasn't wrong. You want to be a starting receiver in the NFL, you gotta make those catches. As it turns out, Washington agreed.

Fichtner has the right to point out that plays were there to be made. He may have been a bit more political about it. I'm sure he's irritated about the mass of criticism the game plan received last week. I'm not going to say he completely threw Rudolph under the bus, but he could have simply stuck with "We left some plays out there on the field. We're going to continue to work on it. We're all disappointed." The key is the word "We". You can't go wrong with We.

I completely agree on ALL points. I’m also fine with guys picking their moments to “call someone out.” Like I said, you can handle it one of two ways; Brown chose to be a total ***** about it, and created all the ruckus that hasn’t settled down. If you can’t take the ******* heat, then get the **** off the field. The football field is the last place your *** deserves to be. Now, if it’s a week after week after week thing? Then there might be some traction. However, one time, the first time, when your team EXPECTS more out of you, then you need to stand up, or you are what you are. Ben did so to Martavis in 16 and Martavis went on a tear in the postseason. That’s how you do it.

Ben is the only QB in the league that can't say anything without people bitching about it. Ben isn't allowed to be a leader because people want him to be a diplomat, take all the blame, and say nothing to upset anyone. Fact is Brady can stand up and say word for word what Ben said and nobody cares. Manning threw his entire OL and kicker under the bus. There was no "we" there. But he is a "leader".. Well Ben is a leader as well but he never gets the same respect.
