Best part -

"The situation in the second half might have dictated it a little more. At halftime, we were 50-50," Fichtner said of the team's run-pass ratio. "I don’t know if it’s always about the number. Sometimes, you kick yourself and say, yeah, 'We should have run it a little bit more here. We should have passed a little more on first down,' things like that. But I'm just not very smart."

Score more points than the other guys

**** YEA !!!!!

And while they're at it, maybe a our OC could actually call a better game........PLAY wise.

Salute the nation

There is this play. It's called a tight end seem. It is the best friend of most QBs and the Steelers have a pretty good TE. And there is this other thing called a screen. When defenses are attacking a young QB that can be a very nice play. Maybe you could consider these things there Randy. You cheeseburger eating motherfa.

I remember a couple of situations involving coaches while growing up playing sports. You can sense when your coach has a grasp of the flow of a game and when they are clueless to make in game adjustments against a team that is better prepared. Confidence is contagious. Fichtner does not exude much of anything. I really think he is in over his head and that Ben Roethlisberger could do a better job calling plays from the sideline with a magic 8 ball.
Shout out to Mrs Martin my fastball coach from when I was 16. Our assigned coach bailed on the team a week before the season started with no explanation.......**** him
Mrs Martin stepped up to save our season as we could not play in the travel league without an adult as acting coach. She knew basic rules only, so we as a team taught her during the course of the season.
By the time playoff rolled around she was setting the line ups and giving it to the umps. Fichtner reminds me of her except he doesn't admit he knows little and he too is learning on the job week by week.

I think for a while Fictner looked better than he was because he had Ben, AB, Bell, and Munchak and it was kind of hard to screw that up. Now that he actually has to come up with game strategery and adjustments he's more or less exposed. On the other hand, he has a built-in excuse because he doesn't have Ben, AB, Bell, and Munchak.

I think you hit the key word here Ron.
