Feel bad for Ben.

Dumbest post of the night, congratulations!

Thanks for your honesty on how you feel about me, but your lack of honesty concerning the team including Ben is typical. We should have never been in a position to have to win this game to make the playoffs. That's on the D play earlier in the season and Ben's play. And I'm the biggest Ben fan on the planet.

A certain coach refuses to fine tune him in the off-season. Those slow starts are on coaching.

I will give you 20+ million reasons why Ben comes back next year.

We need to take advantage of Ben playing at this high level. Who’s to say he won’t age a bit next season. We had a lot of bad luck season, not a lot things went our way in these close games.

No bad luck, it is putting yourself in position to win or lose.

We have really missed Shazier this year. We need more dynamic playmakers on this D.

What was done in the off-season to make that happen? They put themselves in position to fail even before the season started. Then when the deficiencies showed themself player and positional. They did nothing to fix them.

He was a very special player. He had the looks of a future HOF. We’ve never recovered from it.

Sit on your hands and you won't recover. If you don't have the players to fit a scheme, you change it.

I guess they thought Bostic was the answer lol...

The defense was bad with Shazier too. He just occasionally made a highlight reel play.

I'm thinking about retiring from the Steelers when Ben does. The front office could change my mind with an obvious move.

I have no faith in them they will make the right decisions next year either.

It's worse without him though. Shazier whiffed too much on a lot of plays for my liking but he had the ability to be in a position to make plays at least. That is something sadly lacking now.

He was our only play maker. Interceptions and forced fumbles.

He carried the team on his back and were it not for the teams inability not to shoot itself in the foot, we win that game. One of his most clutch performances ever. Next year...

How much more does he have? All of the haters, blindly blaming him for anything and everything, will remember what a stud he is only when he's gone.

Thanks for the memories Ben. You've been amazing.

I think if you have a better scheme these players shine. I really strongly feel coaching is keeping them down.

I don't doubt coaching would help but there's also a lack of talent on the D. The front 3 are pretty good, Watt will be an all pro down the line but the rest of the linebackers don't make plays. Haden's best years are behind him but he's still the best guy we have in the secondary. If we could get a young play maker opposite him it would go a long way to improving the D.

I really hope they don't plan to enter next season with Haden and Sensabaugh as their starters at cornerback.

Tomlin can't fix this. He is incompetent.

Just hope Ben and AB get some decent stats before they retire, cause Mikey full'a **** ain't gonna take them anywhere.

Who knows with them, anything is possible.

I wouldn't get rid of either of them. I would keep Sens for depth and bring someone to start opposite Haden.

Coaching could keep Williams from covering Thomas right? How about not rushing 2 DL? How about coaching that was brought in to help them with the pats**** last week? Coaching seems to be pretty important.

I have been a steelers fan for close to fifty years and will always love this team, but when Ben retires I will have very little interest in watching them until Tomlin is gone. The only reason I pay fr=or sunday ticket is because of Ben. When Ben is done I will get a hell of a lot more use out of my boat on sundays.
