Fauci pleading the fifth

So when Fauci was wrong, it was only because it was a novel virus. No harm, no foul. When Trump (who was largely being advised by Fauci, by the way) was wrong, he bungled it.

The biggest “failure” that I can see in this article is that he claimed we couldn’t have known this would happen and wasn’t prepared, and a lack of coordinated testing early on. Guess what? Once widespread testing was free and available, the virus continued to spread like wildfire. Not just here but all over the world. It was an extremely contagious virus. The mixed messaging on masking was 100% on Fauci but in this article gets blamed on Trump (not that it mattered, clearly masking was ineffective because everyone I know who wore masks all the time still got covid.) Every country in the world shut down borders, in this article Trump gets blamed both for not shutting them down fast enough and for shutting them down too fast causing people to rush home. There were thousands of hospital beds and ventilators the administration put together that went unused.

According to Flogtard, no one matters unless you're a DoKtUr. I know some doctors who are dumb as fuuck. Almost as dumb as Flog.
Years ago, my first primary doctor advised me to have my gall bladder removed. I reminded him I had it taken out a year prior and that he stopped by my room to check on me. I soon changed doctors. There are dummies in all professions.

WTF? A new low for right wing pedophile protectors.

I didn't realize the right wing was protecting Clinton, Biden, Brockman, Sprinkle, Weiner, etc.
Whereas you ALWAYS want to make this a R vs D or C vs L issue, most of us want ALL the pedos to fry regardless of their political affiliation.
Again, you are the epitome of why our society fails.
You make excuses for "your side" while grabbing the torch and pitchfork for the "opposite side".
Shouldn't EVERYONE be held to the same standards, regardless of who they are?
No one's above the law, right? No kings, right? Where all men are created equal, right?

I figured as much. Another one of your award winning videos.

Don’t anyone bother opening.

WTF is right.
How the **** did you get “pedophile protectors” out of that?
The still photo of the video had her comparing his lord and savior Fraudci to Epstein, so he equates that to protecting pedos.
So by this reasoning, when his side compares Trump to Hitler, they're protecting racists sociopaths.

Responding to pandemics is challenging, and many countries struggled to manage the COVID‐19 crisis (Boin et al., 2021). It is also important to recognize that not all of the problems of the US response can be laid at the feet of President Trump. As we showed above, the CDC's initial testing failures resulted from institutional ills that were independent of the president, and the pandemic revealed dysfunction and institutional rot at the CDC and FDA that predated the Trump Administration (Gottlieb, 2021). However, despite favorable circumstances—sufficient early warning, substantial capacity, a venerable center for disease control and prevention, vast resources, high‐quality laboratories, and world‐leading scientific expertise—the Trump Administration demonstrated incompetence in responding to and managing the SARS‐CoV‐2 outbreak.

Because Trump is the president, obviously the buck stops with him. No disputing that.
But I ask - Trump did or did not listen to Fraudci and implement each of his recommendations?
Can't have it both ways.
This is the ol' giving a monkey a gun scenario.
Do you blame the monkey for killing someone, or the person who gave the monkey the gun?
If Trump followed ALL of Fraudci's advice, who's actually to blame?

During the hyped up flu to garner fake votes, my daughter's pediatrician tried to strong arm me into getting them vaxxed. Told me she was adamant about it. I'm glad I stood my ground and told her no. I also had an ENT who thought it was a good idea to jam a spike through my upper gums to irrigate my sinuses. Batshit had a doctor who prescribed her the wrong psych med that made her more crazy than she already was.

I admittedly did read every post in this thread. It gets tiring.

To me this was a big nothing burger. Everyone know what was going to happen.

Everyone knew no information would be obtained that day. I plead the 5th is not an admitting guilt. I it just lawyer ****. Everyone does it. Guilty and innocent.
It was just a step in the judicial process.
Will they take it to the next level? Hope so.

Teach your son's to never, ever, stick their dick in crazy!

If I had a son I would hammer that point home every single day. Make him write essays about it every week. It would be the homescreen on his phone and computer. His morning alarm would be a recording of me saying it. His license plate would be NSYDIC.

Trump famously undermined the masking and social distancing efforts by not following the advice.

Fauci advised people to wear masks and not to gather in large groups. Trump held unmasked ceremonies at the White House.

That’s monkey and a gun analogy is terrible for anyone staunchly supporting gun rights. There are many low IQ, even intellectually disabled gun owners in the U.S.

Sooooo, you're saying Trump is no better/worse than Fraudci, Cuomo, Tapper, Newsome, Pelosi, etc. who told everyone to stay home, wear masks, and don't go in public, etc. only to do the exact opposite themselves?
Do as I say, not as I do?
Rules for thee, not for me?
ONLY Trump should have the finger pointed at him and wagged?
Not any of your liberal heroes?

You’re the one mocking Fauci for his understanding of AIDS at the time.
he was wrong then and he is wrong now.

the point being that he said PUBLICLY what we should do as as populace. While privately he was keeping vital information from us for political reasons.

the fact that this is lost on you is just another point that you cannot grasp.

He conveniently ignores the fact that Sen. Paul is a medical doctor. His opinions don’t count though since he’s not a Democrat.
It’s like told someone on FB the other day, just be honest and say you hate Republicans and don’t make up bull**** to back your opinion.

Are you a doctor? YES or NO?
Has little to do with understanding how drug approval works. Why do you think those within the pharma supply chain are somehow more able to understand than others?
Do you regularly attend meetings and correspond with the Department Chairs of your hospital system? YES or NO.
Does this mean that you are a janitor or that a Deoartment chair hosts a lunch'nlearn once a quarter? Does he bring in the scientists who authored the study for discussions about RCTs ?

I’ve given you several doctors who have expressed their support for Fauci.
put that list right here please.
Tell them how and why they’re wrong. You won’t. You’re as much of a fraud as Trump, RFK Jr. and Paul. What you think is expertise is your uninformed and misinformed opinion.
Feels like much of the world is against you again huh? Perhaps you should open your mind.

The mandates are what undermined it. I firmly believe had they been recommended and not mandated things would have been a lot different. But it was Fauci who initially told people not to wear masks. Then tried to force everyone to wear them. With ridiculous rules like you could take them off while eating and drinking but had to have them on otherwise. Walking through a restaurant, must wear masks. Sitting at the table, you’re fine to take it off. Closing local businesses but letting big chains stay open. 6 feet apart, based on nothing. Arrows on store aisles pointing which direction you could walk. Nancy Pelosi famously getting her hair done while no one else was allowed to. Even a child could tell how ludicrous it all was, most of it with no scientific basis at all and constantly changing. In the end pretty much everyone got covid. It was all for nothing.

There’s plenty of pandemic blame to go around, in hindsight things could have been done better but the outcome probably wouldn’t have changed that much. Rarely does Trump get any credit for getting some massive things accomplished.

Not to mention HS wrestlers in Pa had to wear a mask while wrestling, they could bleed and sweat all over one another but couldn't shake hands at the end of their bout nor could we shake hands a team. Made no sense.

My wife and I went to Cancun during the plandemic. On the plane, you were allowed to pull your mask down to take a drink and then had put it right back in place. On. A. Plane.

At one of our favorite restaurants, they had floor to ceiling clear plastic curtains around each table. But the servers would rip them wide the F open every time they brought a drink or food.

It happened because of new information that was acquired, that contradicted his public statements.
How did Trump bungle Covid? He did everything they told him to do. He shut down the country. He closed the borders over left wing objections. He fast tracked the vaccine, which according to many saved millions of lives. He built thousands of temporary hospital beds and acquired thousands of ventilators and PPP, most of which ended up not being needed. How did he bungle it?

Please, tell us. I’m curious.
Simple, he ****** it up by having an R next to his name. It could have been Mother Teresa running the show and if she was a Republican she would be hated by the left.
