Someone here wanted Michael Dickson, the punter for Seattle, to be drafted in the 4th round two years ago. That same someone said Dickson was a game-changer and field flipper, that our defense would benefit exponentially.

Through 3 games, Dickson's stats:
16 punts
746 yards
627 net yards
60 Long
46.6 Average
39.2 Net Average
0 Blocked
1 Out of Bounds
5 Inside the 20
1 Touchback
4 Fair Catches
9 Returns
99 Return Yards
1 Returned for TD

pretty impressive, no?

By comparison, our ****** punter we didnt waste a draft pick on:
16 punts
766 yards
648 net yards
60 Long
47.9 Average
39.2 Net Average
0 Blocked
0 Out of Bounds
4 Inside the 20
1 Touchback
5 Fair Catches
9 Returns
98 Return Yards
0 Returned for TD

... unless they find a guy who can punt it in 1 second and drive it 100 yards from his own end zone plus aways dead drop it on the one yard line when needed then you never ever ever draft a punter... especially in this nfl where defense is mostly irrelevant

You know the season is over when we are talking about punters.

It's not looking too good, but Berry was booming the hell outta the ball last Sunday.

:rain:

I'm sure Coolie would post a pic of his nipple for you.

**** Coolie, literally...... It's Soup's nipples you want to see............... (from what I've heard anyways)

Salute the nation

I am impressed with Berry's punting this year as he seems to have heard last year's bitchiN. Good Luck and keep it BOOMiN

Salute the nation

Bummer. I thought it was going to be another free the nipple post.

Just because it didn't start out that way doesn't mean we can't have nice things:

The OP is mistaken. I said 5th round, and he made the pro bowl as a rookie. Facts. He also would have saved us money for the cap and as predicted the guy we picked in that round sucked as was cut. Facts again. Thank you very much!

Give it time; you'll see some separation between the two. How disappointed you must be trying to call me out, getting the data wrong, and watching me take credit for being right. Then again Superman never was very bright.

Just proves the Steelers are idiots, and should have spent a 3rd on Berry.

Are you saying with picks like Archer, and Coates, it could be hard to argue? :). Give it a year Okorafor might join them.

you ******* little gnat. I pulled the data straight from nfl.com. Are you suggesting that you keep better data than nfl.com does? wow, that's momentous even for the likes of you.

you're also suggesting we should have taken a ******* punter in the 5th - given the abysmal state of our secondary for the past few years - when we took a safety and had a punter at the time who was every bit as good (statistically, as shown above) as the guy you had a raging hard-on about?

maybe next draft when we need an OLB or a WR we'll take a RG per your logic.

We are talking punter to blame when the defense continues to allow third and long and never get off the field. An offense that is still at training camp wow
