Interesting trade idea. Fort who looks good but probably the 4th/5th ILB for us for Eric Rowe. This trade I'd be cool with. Rowe is a zone type DB to play the outside and gives more depth and Fort likely is high on the depth chart for the eagles. Win win

Sign hall he is versatile enough at this stage to play both outside or in so he and gay can rotate. I think Grant by dec could be the nickel CB I see him right now as 6th db coming in in 2-3-6 or 3-2-6 as the last db

With Grant looking better Rowe's value to the team is a bit less. Actually Grant could be our 3rd best safety and corner....for now.

Grant has been playing well. The real issue is we have no true slot corner. Gay can play the slot, but we have no one good enough to start outside. I still think trading for Rowe would be a nice move. IF he could start, move Gay to the slot.

We'll see how Butler deploys the defense.

Gay might have to play the slot, especially on 2nd and long, or 3rd down. This means Grant on the outside for now.

I expect our DB's to be playing 5-7 yards off the line, except on 3rd and short with a lot of zone and safety help.
