Edmunds in coverage

I never said you did dislike Edmunds. Will you drop the agenda if this guy becomes a player? I mean, if he excels, it's only a great thing for the Steelers organization and us fans. Shouldn't be too hard to jump on the bandwagon if that's the case, no?

What agenda? Didn't he have some issues in man coverage with his back to the QB? Yes. In zone, when he sees the play Edmunds he can break on a ball and pick it off. We need Edmunds to shine. I hope be becomes a player, and mentioned his name more than once in the mock draft thread ( Just not in round one )

In a perfect world, Burnett and Edmunds start at safety in the base defense ( 4-3 or 3-4 ), then Edmunds moves into the nickel with Thomas at linebacker, and Davis' role shifts to nickel and dime safety. That is what I'm hoping for.

But to be accurate, his coverage was actually very, very good - excellent - on the 2nd touchdown. He was directly in the ball's path, and the QB made a pretty amazing throw to a very skilled TE.

Was coverage the issue on James Washington's TD, where he was blanketed and simply outfought the defender for the ball? No, it was simply a matter of a very daring throw and superb effort by Washington to overcome blanket coverage.

Same was true on the Graham TD.

You can't play good coverage if your head is looking at the receiver, you need to turn it around to see the football. He will need to learn this.

Right now, I think Edmunds is better in zone of coverage, facing the football.
