He needs some work.

He let the TE get in front of him in the end zone for a touchdown and failed to turn his head around in the end zone for another touchdown.

Hebis a rookie. If course he needs some work.

Over all though not bad so far

He's rookie. Of course he needs work. But, you can see it already on D and special teams, he is a baller. He will make splash plays for the team. He just needs more time on the field. Right now, he isn't much behind our two "starting" safeties.

What was your evaluation of Polamalu during his first couple preseason games?

He may be a rookie but the game today when you are a number one pick you are expected to play and contribute.

I look at it this way, it isn't like he wasn't IN the play. How many times do we see A DB one or two steps away with no chance at all to make a play on the ball. Adjustments can be had, at least we can see he has the ability to be right with his man in coverage..............

smaller heads must be better. Troys was too big. Or did you try to forget that.? :afro:

I'm sure you have a smaller head. Whether they are better or not, well that's a different discussion. I'd say money matters bit more with women. In your case, you likely have neither, but figurately speaking your an angry di@k. I'll give you that.

Seriously...with this type of response how old are you? Embarrassing.

Yeah man you're right, but rookies still make mistakes and it's preseason. This is his second ever NFL game. I expect him not to look perfect. I'd rather have him mess up now than in Week 1 versus the Browns.

Agreed. If anyone can remember Troy's entire first season. Enough said.

Actually he was in the play directly for one of the touchdowns against. The rookie needs to learn to turn his head to locate the football. Getting a hand up with his back to the ball isn't going to get you many " wins " in the NFL. He can get better, just saying I do not think he's ready to play

...it was 2 TDs against for Edmunds. Both were TEs.

And the second TD was a perfect throw. Edmunds was in perfect position, but was giving up 5-6” in height. You’ve got to give credit to the throw by the QB. Otherwise Bens throw in XXXIII was due to the DB not turning around.

He wasn't looking at the ball, was he?

Sometimes you can’t look at the ball. Some coaches, like Bradley instruct their DB’s to knock it out of the hands on the catch....(see Sutton do this often in preseason, or Davis last year) when they know they have no chance for a pick.

Its way too early to call edmunds a bust or even saying he will be terrible in coverage. However i will say that i am not very impressed with its skills so far. I am still very concerned about the D going into the season
