Eddie Lacy?

In the playoffs, its seems like we are often playing with our 2nd and 3rd back. Lacy when healthy is good on a bad Green Bay OL. With our OL, he'd be even better.

Running backs typically are not high priority free agents, but I'll take Lacy for cheap, with a Williams like contract.

I wish my job allowed me to smoke weed cause I'd def come smoke with you

now if Mean Joe Greene could take a youth potion and sign for a million a year....I would do that in a heartbeat.....

Coolie - You're doing some serious binge-posting: Seven threads in a row with the last post.

I think you're trying to up your free-agent money.

(Don't go off to a Pats' board now!)

coolie is drinking and having fun on Steeler Nation tonight.

boys are on Spring Break and I've taken the week off.....cleaning out the bar of old booze....some Jack Daniels black tonight...and sharing my wisdom with the board

Free agent RBs are not going to get a ton of money this year. Not sure if Lacy will have to settle for $1.5mil, but why would any team pay him $3-4mil when they can likely get the same production from an RB drafted in rounds 4-6? Maybe he takes a 'prove-it' contract with a team that can maybe even give him a ring? So I see him signing with New England for $1.5mil......and some samiches

pay lacy too much and he will just spend it on sammiches and not be any good anyway

I don't know, Eddie has has trouble staying on the field, and away from the doughnut truck, I don't see people beating a path to his door right now, so we might just be able to pull quite the deal. I'd put some keep the weight off clauses in his contract, but other than that, who knows what he would or wouldn't take.

Joe

I'd bring in Lacy if he played on a contract similar to what DW played on or maybe a little more. But, no way, you bring him in and pay him anywhere near starters pay. But, he will get starters pay somewhere.

We need a rb who catch to backup Bell. Why not Rex Burkhead?

Move to Colorado, or join work for the NBA?

But seriously Lacy would fit on the Steelers.

Lacy is horrible and he can't stay in shape so I pass on him even at the vet minimum.

It's reported that he was up to 267 pounds at some his visits. Maybe we should've signed him to backup Hargraves?

Seahawks signed Eddie Lacy to a one-year, $5.55 million contract

Well there goes Coach's 1.5 million a year guy.

the RB market is heating up again

Way to costly for us. 1 year 5.5m.

Hightower left without a contract too.

For once we have cap space. And we are close.

Fat boy got a job. How can the dude balloon 30 lbs from last year. Injury or not, the dude really has serious issues with staying in shape.

What a shame. I was ready for Coach to list the reasons why Lacy is a better back than Bell in certain situations.

What about Jamal Charles to backup Bell? How are his knees at this point? Haley knows him well from his KC days.

This raises an interesting point, isn't Deangelo still a free agent? I thought Coach was saying how in a lot of ways he's better than Bell, right? Soooooo, if bell were currently a free agent, do we really think he'd be without a deal at this point? Thoughts?

Joe

don't be an idiot.

Maybe your correct. Lacy doesn't test positive for weed, or get arrested. He would NOT fit here as a back like Bell or Blount, even if he averaged 5.0 yards a carry last season on a Green Bay who had OL issues.
