Earl Thomas.....

It does say he strayed from the game play / philosophy and team mates were mad......... So His "play" may be questioned and the naked BNB bed incident triggered the action with-in the team, with all that said

**** the rats

he has something like 10.25 mill guaranteed this year.. a lot of the talking heads around Baltimore think Thomas didn't really fit in with the other players If their is anything in the contract that will get them out of that $$ they might. I for one hope he stays. I don't think he is all that great.

To think I wanted that sick cheap shot artist in the Steelers that off-season he was available...

What is this get out of the contract talk. The Steelers got a 3rd and a 6th for their problem child but they ate 20 million in salary cap. They could have brought in a quality FA with20 million in guarenteed money.

Add enough spice and the sugar is no longer sweet. Little chest was so far out of whack that the STEELERS were willing to pay him to leave and be rid of is ASSHAT self. AND to think some here want him back....... **** him and his two-bit character everything.

I totally agree but if there are out clauses then why didn't they get to use. That was serious change.

It's a correct point, but it changes the philosophy of our locker room. We pay our own. We don't go out and grab big money free agents. We never have. Bringing in a new alpha dog, who thinks he's the best in the league, with a huge contract, isn't the best for our locker room. Especially when we have players that want to be paid, and now can't because that new player is eating up the cap space. Haden is our biggest sign ever, and he's still a steal compared to the market. Haden is the 16th highest paid corner $9.6M. Nelson is 24th in cap hits $7M.

Minkah was the right pick, because we got an All-Star on a rookie contract. I'd make that move every day if it costs us a 1st rounder.

I think you are missing my point a bit. I'm saying if these other teams could break contracts why couldn't the Steelers. And yes it could be another FA, but it also could have just paid the guys they have so they wouldn't be so tight on the cap. In the end they might have gotten Dionte Johnson for Brown which may not have been horrible. But still. If anyone ever behaved in a manner that could break a contract it was that *******.

Actually Litos, you're right. The Steelers could have released AB and gone to court for the $21M which was the prorated portion of his signing bonus. The Steelers are a family organization that honors its contracts. I don't know a single instance of getting bonus money back, and most of the league can't say the same. Though in the short term, it was 21M we didn't have to spend, in the long term, players and agents know the Steelers honor their contracts.

I agree there is value in that Cope. But there is also some value in letting it be known that if you are going to act like a petulant child you aren't gonna get your cake and eat it too. Same with Legeratt Blount. He ****** walked out on the team. Then he went and got a ring with the Pats. That's all I got to say. You can have the last word.

Maybe it was his way to ease back into normal activities. You know.... support local air BNBs..... give the girls some work, etc.

A couple months from now he can resume his regular activities and allow his pet dog and momma back in the group session. :boom:

Sounds like it’s a family run business for Earl
