With luck, Jarvis may reach 8 sacks total for his career this year. Mind you, he would have to have a career year of 3 sacks to do it.
 
IDK, adding 30-something year olds to the roster is usually a bad idea. Sometimes it works out, but not usually.

Think Redskins.
 
Stop gap. Keep his play count down and only on obvious passing situations. I'd be ok with Harrison and Freeney rushing the passer on 3rd and long.
 
I'd take him in a heartbeat, can he walk? Will he take vet minimum?

Why are we still waiting? Sign him.
 
yeap, we already have James Harrison as a situational pass rusher vet. Having him will shorten the minutes available for the young guys (Feeney and or Chickillo)

Put the best players on the field. I feel the very least the young guys learn from the tutelage of Harrison and Freeney
 
Freeney > Jarvis

Only problem is we already have Harrison behind Jarvis and Moats behind Dupree. Not gonna happen
 
Offer him a spot at camp to see what he can do. I think he's worth looking into.

Easy there Spike. The Steelers aren't the Lakers signing sexy names. We build to contend when it matters. Ben will deliver thy 7th and possibly an 8th when all said is done
 
It would be a crap shoot. He is a big name and former star but how can you tell if he has anything left in the tank. I think I would pass.

It would be nice to sign one big free agent...but Freeney is kinda old
