Gerry Dulac from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting that the Steelers could decide to end the Antonio Brown to Oakland deal before it ever happens. Steelers source emphasizes AB trade is agreement only and “it’s never over till it’s over.” — Gerry Dulac (@gerrydulac) March 10, 2019 The Steelers and Raiders can’t file the […]

I suppose now that Brown's specific contract demands are known, another team could step in and offer the Steelers more than Oakland, but that has about a 1% chance of happening, if that

Kill it. It would look less ridiculous than the 'trade' itself.

Oh man would I kill this deal. Show this little prick who exactly is running things. Don’t set a precedent for others here by giving in to this pos.

As much as I want to see this saga come to an end.

I would love to see the Steelers do the same thing to Clown as he did to the team.

Be the ******,not the fuckee. Get a first plus a 2 .I'd take a blow torch to that deal. Let him sit out if he wants. They own his *** for 3 years.

Demand their 2nd round pick, or no dice.

As for AB, fine him up the wahoo. Let him NOT report. I'll take the cap space next year and use it next year for someone else. Until then go out and get Jaylen Ramsey. As for Ben, be flexible in freeing up space if a re-do on your deal is needed for improvements in 2019.

The Raiders have three first round picks and we don't even get their high second?????? If this deal goes through this team is dead to me until both Tomlin and Cobert are gone. They just gave away Manhattan for a handful of beads. Keep him on the team and suspend him for 4 games. After that's done, I'm sure AB will give them more than enough reasons to suspend him again.

Steelers don’t have the balls to kill the deal.

They like to suffer with Tomlin and players thinking they are more important then the franchise.

I’d kill the deal and send him to the first team offering up some wings

Kill the deal....I'd be pleased.

After he ****** them over with the Bills, and if the Bills were offering more, I'd absolutely kill that deal, **** him

It won’t happen. These ******** don’t have the balls.

I think that if it were to another team, AB woul¿ld just boycott it like he did with the Bills. He now knows he has that power.

The only option would be with him staying but i don't see a chance neither.

So you're mad because they get "nothing", but your solution is no trade, no picks, and don't play him...with him constantly crying the whole way?? How is that better? Um, I'll take the 3rd and 5th and be done with him.

And I don't get the Colbert rage. He shipped one *******, Holmes, out for a 6th, which he used on Brown. Until last December, that deal was unreal. It's not his fault this guy is now a bigger *******. His hands were tied.

And if I were a Raider fan, I'd be livid that they ran Mack and Cooper out of town and then guaranteed a 31 year old mental case 30 million bucks. And they kept Carr in the process. They're as nuts as he is.

i think this deal is terrible for many reasons. First i do not feel the steelers got proper value. The raiders got a 1 for cooper who is not the receiver brown is. More importantly this sets a terrible standard for the rest of the league. Act like a spoiled brat and get what you want....I guess that is par for the course in todays society. I would nix the deal to save face and to protect the rest of the league

YES, no trade, no picks, and suspend him without pay for conduct detrimental. This goes beyond football on the field. This strikes at the core of contract law and building a team. What happens when TJ Watt thinks his contract should be better and demands a trade - or JuJu - or any of the other up and coming stars. If you let AB go for a third and a fifth while we are out 21 million in cap space what keeps your other top players committed to the team?

There's always been that problem since the days of TO and the Eagles. They suspended him, he got out, and they got nothing at all. The steelers need the picks and help now. This is the last ride for Ben. End the drama, distractions, and get the picks.

Yes, they suspended him for four games and deactivated him for the remainder of the season, and Owens' suspension and deactivation were upheld by an arbitrator. He was released by the Eagles but that was their decision. This is the way you deal with problem children. Maybe it's my military background but you simply don't reward this type of behavior. I would have rather paid him the roster bonus, suspended him without pay for four games - recouping the roster bonus and then some - and deactivated him for 2019 if he wasn't performing up to my expectations. At over 30 his window is closing if he wants the accolades he thinks he deserves.

What in the last several years makes you think a third and a fifth round pick are going to get us any immediate help. Someone else on this board did the work but third and fifth round picks have, with few exceptions, been worthless to this FO.

And what does hanging on to him causing a distraction at best, and dividing the lockeroom at worst, get them? And you want them to pay him a roster bonus for that on top of it?? Get outta here. Heres 2.5 million just for being an *******!

It would have stopped players in the future from taking the same road that Blount, Harrison, and now AB have successfully taken to get their way. Simply act like a jerk and the steelers cave to your demands.

The steelers traded away their credibility for a 3rd round pick. It's not even close to worth it.

I would rather they pay AB and he refuse to play and sit out. At least then the steelers would still have authority in negotiations. Now they have none.
