Apparently former FSU CB PJ Williams was arrested for DUI early this morning. Does he drop on your personal board? Do you think he drops on the Steelers board?

I'm going to say he drops out of a possible first round position and a possibility at 1:22 for me personally.(Although I believe 1:22 would be a bit of a reach). I also believe he drops in the Steelers regard, possibly off their board entirely with the supposed new emphasis on character.

What's his BAC? If it's high, he's already got a problem that you don't want in the first round and maybe not at all.

Here is something that could happen. Marcus Peters in the 1st & PJ Williams in the 2nd. Would you do it?

if you do that, then half the board will be intrigued while the other half will see it as the FO admitting they made a mistake in the first and have to cover their *****.

no win

I see what you did there .... re-energizing the Timmons/Woodley debate eh? Lol

He'd go at 1.32 and never get caught again!

YOU are right on the button!!!!!!!! Breathelizers count on exhailing / deflating. Since at 1.32 there is no penalties of any kind for deflation, kid's good to go!!!!

Salute the nation

He also was involved in an accident earlier this year. Although he was never charged with hit and run, apparently he fled the scene on foot. This, plus now the DUI, shows a pattern of poor decision making. I would drop him way down the board if not remove him entirely.

This is really unfortunate. Otherwise seems to be a solid prospect in the mold the Steelers prefer. Said to be a good teammate and a leader on the field.

He will very likely be off their board and with one less decent CB prospect on the list, Colbert / Tomlin may feel this forces their hand in Round 1.

If one drops to the second and there isn't equal or better value, sure....

Does he start the season suspended?

Can't remember where I read it but apparently DUIs while the athlete is still in college don't count towards the substance abuse policy.

He has to learn to be a better drunk driver and not get caught. I'm very good at it because I practice. I wouldn't necessarily drop him on a draft board but the problem is that he might be making a habit of it and once he's in the NFL he can get suspended for it unless he gets drafted by the Pats**.

Take him in second....I know kids make mistakes, but FSU has a ton of mistakes...

I think the Ta'amu incident probably means he gets dropped off their board. It would definitely factor into my thinking.

I believe they need to do some more checking on him. College kids often get drunk as well as other things because of the lack of adult supervision and the fact that they are not mature enough to be in control of their lives. At this point he may have an addiction issue he may not but he will likely be able to afford to drink and have a driver take him home. He may also be able to be taught better habits when exposed to a more mature crowd. He will be in a very different peer group once selected by a football team.

Williams will likely drop to the 3rd...and, yes, I'd take him there.

Didn't hear about that. He'd slip off my board - if true...

.

Buh-bye!

This guy is dead to the Steelers.

Adams,Rainey,etc..... Perhaps the Steelers back when, but this newer version takes its chances on character risks here and there........

take him possibly in the 2nd, I rather have Darby.

I move him to round three. I think PJ is over rated. Few plays on the ball and he gave up his share of big plays. Not very fast either!

He's a very similar prospect to Cortez Allen. Went to a better school and played much better competition than Allen but the athleticism and fundamentals are close.

The issue with Williams is whether he can face the adversity of being a rookie and getting called for penalties. His maturity level suggests he will struggle in this regard to his development.

You're about to be drafted into the NFL soon.. what do you do? Let's go drinking and driving whooooohooo!. How dumb can you be?
